Dirt bike or quad. whats better

depends on what you need it for

are you more work oriented? four wheeler

more play/fool around? probably dirtbike

either one is way better than a snowmobile tho...at least in the northeast because a four wheeler you can use all four seasons, a dirtbike three, and a snowmobile only one real short season

totally depends, what kind of quad? the 4 wheel drive quads? sports quads? My dad has a sports quad and I have a dirt bike, I think the dirt bike is a lot more fun. Dirt bikes are able to ride more trails because of their smaller size. But four wheelers are better in real sandy areas or snowy areas. Both have pretty big pros and cons so it depends on what you are using it for. A four wheeler can skim mud and water too, its actually easier on a four wheeler.

all preference... only thing i can think of is if you're going to race, dirtbike just because its a TON safer. but here's my oldest brother on his quad a few years back...

and my little brother just got into dirt biking and sends it on the relatively same track so arguing which is better than the other is just as stupid as the snowboard vs. skiing argument. both can do whatever you want if you know how to ride.

Dirt bike, hands down

Over sized trail couches are good for muddin and haulin wood, they are not impressive unless you buy a stupid fast quad that you will be overconfident with and roll it over, killing yourself because too many quad rider's don't think helmets are necessary.

And get a honda, they are bulletproof

Matter of preference, i would go with dirtbike just because i have been riding since i was 4 and used to race. But quads are fun too, not as safe though.
