Aside from clicking the link, short answer is no.
Black plastic is black plastic. Sanding will only remove the satin/gloss finish and boiling it will do nothing. You might have some luck hitting it with a mixture of 50/50 bleach and water, although you might end up getting some nasty effed up finish, although it would lighten the color. Just might not be consistent.
I would not recommend the bleach as I have not personally done it, but try searching it and see what comes up. If anything, trade the part you are trying to dye for its white counter-part and dye the white piece instead.
