XX base grind

So a couple weeks ago i bought the 2011 line afterbangs, which have extruded bases that will not hold wax well at all, so i was just wondering if you think it is a good idea to get a XX base grind so it will hold wax, im just unsure if this is a good idea or not

probably wont do anything other than grind away base material. the bases are designed to be tougher and not get easily destroyed. the downside is they don't take wax as well

dont touch your skis bases... i never do when theyre brand new.. the base on there is made too be kept there

Id suggest waiting until you require a base grind then get the XX grind done. Depending on how often you change skis/ski. If you go for a ski a season go for the XX grind. if not wait.

yeah i want to ride them all season, thanks guys, so i should just wax them more often?

heres a solution.. but you will just get used to it.. it sucks during spring skiing though
