Jesus, gas is really fucking expensive now. We're paying approx $2.15 for a gallon of unleaded fuel here now. Lets choke the fucking life out of Oil Companies' stocks.

all you kids talking about fucking up the economy, you have no idea what you're talking about. THe economy needs to stop and stay at a sustainable level, it cannot grow exponentaly, the base for everything is resources and land, because we live on one planet where energy is not reuseable it means that we are slowly killing ourselves. the 'larger' an economy gets the less sustainable it becomes. Also the more you drive your cars the warmer the planet gets. that means shorter and shorter seasons.

well it does have to do with politics, even though i know what youre getting at irish. it has been rumored that bush is trying to cut deals with saudi arabia to get oil prices lowere right before november. HOWEVER, technically OPEC acts independently from united states politics. and its not even worth posting on the democrat or republican thread anymore becuase people are getting all confused over which parties support what ideals

'Are you tired of paying up to $2-plus per gallon for gas? Then consider moving to Iraq. According to news stories, the price of regular gas in Baghdad is under 25-cents per gallon. Of course Iraq is an oil-producing country. That must be the reason why gas is so cheap, right?
Wrong. It turns out Iraq's local refining capacity was destroyed by the war. Instead, Iraq's cheap gas is paid for by the United f States, which purchases it at approximately $1.80 per gallon (2 bil a year) from Arab countries, then sells it back to Iraqis at under 25-cents per gallon.
So the next time you have to pay $50 to fill up your tank, remember that your taxes have just bought 25 gallons of subsidized gas for our Iraqui 'dependents.''

Didnt you realize that 65% of American refineries throughout the US isnt at its full capacity. Not all of Iraq situation plays the part on oil prices.

Also Iraq sits on 11% of world's crude oil. Saudi Arabia is Westerners' major oil importer. Sure there's plenty of oil in some parts of former Soviet countries, but they're too expensive to produce into oil & gas.

SUV's are worthless. Most of the bad driving I see is done in SUVs. Today when I was biking back from work, I saw a woman in an SUV decide she wanted to make a turn after the two cars who were already in the intersection turned on the red light. Basically she enetered the intersection over 5 seconds after the light was red. I should have T-boned her.
