If you want a less maintnence ski then choose the halo cuz the base is more durable and you dont need to wax it as fast but the halo is less stiff and not as fast
The halos are a softer than the ar7 so less stable on big jumps( But they are not noodles by all means). They have a really short turning radius. They are also not the best all mountain ski. Dont forget they have some rocker too.
So if you want a more of a stiffer all mountain park ski get the ar7 but if you want more of a jibby ski get the halo.
This is coming from a owner of ar7's, ar6's and Alpha 2's.
halo is similar to alpha 2 and I own a pair of ar6 and alpha 2s too, and I think the alpha is a good stiff ski. Think the Ar6 were more softer, so the alphas were much better on kickers.
To anyone that has actually skied the Halo, what's it like compared to a regular camber park ski? Do they feel really soft like some people have said?
I have only skied rental twin tips and would like to actually get a pair of skis!
