It is an amazing college ! Its a family tradition of a kind to go there for our studies. I must say, it is worth making all the efforts to get in there :) If you still have any doubts, this may help :

Ive been to crested butte, just recently. My friend keeps talking about Western CO. How long of a drive is it from the college to Crested Butte though?

35 minutes...making it in 25 is doable but i wouldn't recommend it with the amount of troopers on the roads anymore.
