i just applied to middlebury, deadline was today. probably won't get in but it'd be so sweet if i did and there was no supplement so the only thing i lose is $65

Well, your school probly fucked up. Applications have to be post marked by the 1st, so it was most likely your schools fault. Trust me, I worked in admissions at UVM last year, I know how its run.

i got deferred from Northeastern too and so did everyone else in my school who applied there. Do they just not take in early action people? It sucks because that's my first choice but this gives me more time for the people to get back to me after my constant emails and calls about getting my refund for the application and getting an interview

my tentative list of applications is brown, cornell, dartmouth, middlebury, colby, wesleyan, hamilton, and conn college. princeton if i can get full support from the coach, otherwise i will never get in there

deferral from stanford and acceptance at UVM early

i'm shooting high now because i loved UVM and i'd rather go there than most mid-range schools

how did you apply to both stanford and UVM early?
and those are some intense schools. my list is: stanford, harvard, dartmouth (deferred), USC, Cal Poly, Santa Clara, Cal, UC Davis, UCLA, UCSD, Boulder, DU, Colorado School of Mines (accepted)

stanford is EA restrictive which means you can't apply anywhere else early however i found a loophole in the fine print, turns out you can apply to your state school early as well as long as it's EA

well they take EA kids, about 10 got in from my school that applied EA (out of about 50 that applied). From my school it was somethin like 10 accepted, 20 deffered and the rest rejected, and NU doesn't do interviews...........unless you special like me

Deffered from NEU, but so did 90% of the kids i heard from. my guidance counselor told me that they got way too many early applicants, so they deffered a ton of kids. and they said to many applicants (myself included) that they would waive the fee if i transferred to regular decision.

you'd be surprised who gets in. i'm a freshman here and yeah the distance from skiing kinda sucks but ski club goes on a decent amount of trips and china peak is like 4 hours away. besides that its an awesome school. i love it.
