Accepted to School of Mines, Saint Louis University, DU, Michigan, and USC. Still waiting for a reply from Princeton and Stanford, but I don't really care because I won't go to either if I get in. Now, I'm just deciding between USC and Michigan.

Does it help to go to one of the top public high schools in the country, or is that overlooked? This is only because I know public school kids get looked at differently.

If you go to a top public school. Then yes it will help. I go to the best public school in MD and one of the best in the nation. And I know or alot of schools on the east coast it looks really good to go to our school because every kid gets solid grades. It's basically like a private school, there are so many rich fucks that go to it. But not quite cause the private school down from my house cost 20 Gs a semester

Film school is pointless. For a 200k art school tuition you can buy a $50 book and learn the same thing then buy a badass camera. Engineering is for badasses.

Junior in high school right now, I am looking at Stanford, MIT, UW Madison and a few others for mechanical engineering. Do colleges look at all your sat scores or just the highest one?

It depends on the college. Most schools just look at your superscore, but some schools require all your scores. For example, when I visited Stanford, they said it looked bad if you took the ACT or SAT too many times (more than twice).

it's a good school, being from Toronto a ton of my friends go there. really excels in commerce and engineering I think. though you won't get any small classes first year, partying at queens is the most illl

lololololo.....was there my freshman year. You will party your ass off and have a good time until you realize that keene has literally 0 to offer academically. Unless your going to be an education major i HIGHLY suggest you don't go there. Really poor programs and super limited in terms of majors there. You might not get it now, but if you go there you will understand after a while. Tons of kids transfer out because of this. There is decent skiing near by if you have a car though, stratton 45 minutes away, mt snow isnt to far, granite gorge is right down the road.
