Williams College in MA? I pretty much live on their campus. Not much night life or anything real exciting to do around town. Mt. Snow is only 45 minutes away though for a plus but thats about it. Good luck though

Dude, quit bitching. It sucks you got deferred from Stanford but you dont have to post about it everyday and bring down the hype everyone else is feeling in this thread. I'm sure you will be fine for college, as it sounds like you are applying to some pretty prestigious schools. Just get your applications done and take it easy until you get some acceptance letters from some VERY GOOD schools. Stanford isnt the end all be all.

i'm not trying to be a downer. i'm fine with dealing with this process and i'm doing all my apps i just cannot handle the pressure my parents are putting on me for no reason. they're destroying this whole process for me and making my life miserable. i don't know what they expect from me but it's clearly not what i'm doing

I hear ya man, I wasn't trying to dish out the haterade on you. I know firsthand the pressure from parents and its awful sometimes. The pressure to go "ivy" league is always there and you feel like a let down if you dont get in... but honestly there are so many other good schools out there. And trust me, once you get accepted you will be sooooo happy that your parents did put this pressure on you and pushed you through high school. I for one know that my parents have played a HUGE role in my academic success. Good luck though man.
