We should be able to see all the shots from the movies.

title made no sense. i know, i didn't know what to say.

my thoughts:
when i watch a movie, there are a ton of shots that they show from different angles. part of one angle and then all of or most of the another angle. sometimes i want to see the entire shot from a certain angle that they only show part of. also, in addition to these shots, there are a lot of other really good footage that doesn't even make it into the movies, edits and whatever. even interviews are chopped up and shortened.

my idea:
after a certain period of time ( a year, 2,3 etc) filmers or whoever has rights to the footage (not just the shots in movies, but ALL of the footage, random footage, extra angles, b roll, unused shots, etc.) and we could either buy it, on like dvds or download it, cheaply i would assume. or it would just be free to download because none of that footage is as good as what we have seen. just imagine any big park shoot. they can have like 15 riders on one feature hitting it all day. there is so much extra good stuff. it goes unused why not just give it to us?

I don't know how all of this works, with legal rights and all. *cough* wme *cough* so this could be a total disaster anyway. i just thought of this idea that they should have extra footage ( it doesn't even have to be all, if they just listed the extra shots of rides on their website it would be really cool) if this doesn't make any sense just let me know, i'm sure that will happen.

dude if they ever were to put all of this footage it would be rediculously retahded. ski movies take all winter. thats a lot of fuckin video..HD presumeably. external harddrives would be filled in a week. plus somehow getting all that video onto a billion of DVDs or a month worth of download time is just wreckless and dumb

yes that is. and thank you.

also, eye trip had two shots of people brushing off their boots/shoes and those two shots ruined that part of the segment for me. had to post that somewhere. i really like it, but just don't ever film anyone brushing their shoes.

yup.

Cutting the angles is an editing technique. Shoot from one angle, if you can't see the landing, cut to a different angle to show it. Plus, if every trick was shown from just one shot it would get boring.

Also, they don't release all that footage for a reason... it takes an absurd amount of time to go through all of that and organize it and then edit it. It takes a whole summer just to put the main movie together and some bonus. It's just too much work.
