This kids both went to my school. A shit ton of weird district people standing aroundlooking for people crying. Several cops too


- LAKELAND, Minn. - Police are investigating the deaths of two teens in the east metro suburb of Lakeland. The bodies were found in Humphreys Park around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Wednesday afternoon, the Washington County sheriff's office identified the teens as 15-year-old Lisa Marie Grijalva of Oak Park Heights and 14-year-old Jacob Zachary Campbell.

Neighbors say they heard gunshots in the area, but authorities aren't saying how the teens died. They are not looking for any suspects. One woman in the neighborhood says her son and several of his friends received text messages Tuesday alluding to a possible suicide.

Lisa Grijalva and Jacob Campbell attended Oak-Land Junior High School in Lake Elmo. The sheriff’s office is helping the school deal with the tragic situation

The Washington County sheriff's office and Minnesota BCA are investigating and the Ramsey County medical examiner is working to determine manner and cause of the deaths.

I guess a younger teen at my old high school just committed suicide 2 days ago, due to kids bullying her and stuff.

Damn, kids committing suicide at such young ages. There was a girl that committed suicide in our school in 8th grade. It's terrible that kids have to resort to killing themselves. RIP

It's not, people are just getting softer. Suicide didn't used to be an option, but now we hear about it so much that it seems like it's socially acceptable.

I think a lot of people on NS need to recognize these issues and think before posting mean and cruel shit. In particular, I was disgusted by the "solid 7" thread; imagine if the girl everyone was making fun of saw that thread and committed suicide. Many may respond "don't take the Internet so seriously", but for an insecure teenage girl (or boy), there is no on or off switch for their intense emotions surrounding self-esteem issues. In fact, there have been well documented cases of teenagers committing suicide because of Internet bullying.

Bullying will be and has always been around. It's weird that a bunch of kids feel they need to kill themselves because they think it will never stop. Honestly, if they just stand up to those bullies and fight back, the bullying will end. Best advice I ever had "you go to the bully at school and punch them in the face as hard as you can".

Stand up for yourselfs people.

It isn't that people are getting softer. The people doing the bullying are getting a lot meaner and nastier.

It used to be you were just called names. Now people are planting cameras in your room and watching your personal life and posting it online.

RIP, thats so sad and they were dating. How could it be worth it for a couple, something that should bring happyness, to kill themselfs.

This girl I know that people make fun of apparently is on suicide watch. Shits scary, shes one of those girls who all her friends are super hot but she really isn't. A lot of people poke fun at her, others full out bully her at all times. Its actually terrible. I always messed around with her, never in a mean way, but I don't even date say something remotely mean now.

If they sent out a text of a possible suicide, why the fuck did no one do anything about it? Even if I didn't know the person I would still call them and talk to them about it.

You dont even realize the number of kids that have done the same thing due to bullying in some form. Absolutely horrific. Makes me want to do terrible things to the people that give them shit. Its really sad.

You nailed it right on the head. The internet is making it easier than ever to bully people, while hiding behind it as well. This means more bullies and more bullying to the victims. More people need to act on the internet the way they do in real life.

I read somewhere that in adolescents the fear of rejection is greater than the fear of death. So if you think about it it is a young teenagers instict to kill themselves if they are bullied alot. Makes me want to go tell a bunch of kids that bullying is just bullshit haters trying to feel better about themselves.
