because i'm not suckered into giving money to a site only with the promise of knowing stuff a week before other people about stuff i could care less about.
here's a better question, how come you donated with only being on a site for only a few months?
my point exactly. Cannon is for hardcore motherfuckers. we don't take pussies, bitches or gingers.
and since you fit into all three of those, you lose! it's cool though, if i were you i'd be scared too if the mountain in question had already claimed 2 lives within one week
hahahaha, cannon and its park sucks. the only reason people die there is because the people that go there haven't been on skis before and they run into trees. stop trying to pretend cannon is something that its not.
You give money to NS so they can continue running. In return, you get the best threads of NS, archived there.
And you get a $ next to your name (looks like you have one already).
Rofl, anyone who knows shit knows that you don't go to Cannon for the park. You ski Mittersill and Gunsight - easily two of the most challenging and unmarked areas of terrain on the east coast. Also, neither of those that have died hit trees.
let's see... i said cannon and its park sucks and growing up an hour away from cannon, yeah i think i know my shit. the mountain sucks and no its hardly the most challenging unmarked areas on the east you goon. go ski some real shit.
i donated back when NS really needed it, but now they have all kinds of sponsor money etc so there's no need to donate anymore. and the donator's forum averages about 3 posts per month
Cool fucking story freckle arms! I was born, raised and still live no more than 20 minutes from Cannon. If you honestly think Gunsight (which you apparently did not know existed rofl) is easy, I guess those ginger roots went deeper than I thought.
Your idea of real shit Bretton Woods I guess. When I said you didn't know your shit, I was referring to those two areas. Your response stated that because you grew up an hour from Cannon, you knew all about the mountain and park - two things I specifically said I wasn't talking about. Grats on going full retard pussy.
It's funny because you are trying to one up skiierman by saying you live 20 mins from Cannon, but skiierman lives in Utah in skis actual mountains now.
As for donating, I did it because of how much this site has done for me. Not in some overly dramatized kind of way, but it's an incredible source of knowledge/info for all things skiing that has taught me a lot and given me some quality entertainment for those times when I can't be out on the hill. Plus, when I donated there wasn't much in the way of adds on the site and they relied a lot more heavily on donations to keep things running and make improvements. As for the donator forum, it's just a nice place with some epic threads and good members who post legit things and give good responses.
That is very true, to an extent. There is still a lot of knowledge/info, it's just far more difficult to find because of all the worthless muck you need to wade through to find it. Oh, and a crappy searchbar.
Yeah, but check out this sweet silver thing next to my name. It's fucking cool....TOTALLY worth the 5$................................................................................... -.-
Depends on when you donated. There didn't used to be an exact dollar amount for each symbol/status and there hasn't always been a place to donate online. Back in the day, donation amounts and what symbol you received for them were somewhat subjective and donations were received by NS either by mail or in person.
most of you arent even donators you are wannabees aka contributors your dollars are useless us real donators supplied pizza and beers for exhausted ns staff working through the early 2000's out of their own pocket to bless us with such a website
