Drunk Peope's Keys

So this past weekend one of my buddies showed up to a school event completey trashed. Not wanting him to endager anyone I took his keys from him so he couldn't drive. He started freaking out and gave me so much shit, but the next day he was so thankful. Just didnt know if any other nsers have been in the same situation? Share some stories.

this is common, alot of the times my buddies will sneak out early if they are going to drink and drive or just sleep in their car whereever it resides.

 2007 high school grad party my parents agreed to get me a keg and a moon bounce (fuck yea) and my parents never ever allowed me to have people over and get sloshed but they did only if everyone agreed to leave their keys no matter how much they drink.  well make long story short one kid wanted to leave and drive his truck to get weed or something and my other friend stole his keys and the kid who wanted to leave freaked out swearing and they started to fight and about 30 min later i said fuck it and we duct taped him up for his step dad to come and get him.  Apparently when when his step dad got him home he cut him loose and he took off.  In conclusion drinkin and moon bouncin makes u want to drive drunk.

ha i had a friend at a holloween party who was puke drunk and nobody wanted to help him out all they did was just pat him on the back .. so i fireman carried him to my car and drove him home like a true friend.. i felt like i did a good thing so yeah

yea, good call. i was that kid who wanted his keys once and every time i asked for my keys my buddy (air force) beat the shit out of me. long story short, i dont ask for my keys anymore

I watched somebody chuck this drunk chicks keys into a bush. that was pretty funny. seemed douchey at the time but made total sense.

In a similar incident, I have a "friend", who no one in my friendship group really likes. He came out drinking with us one night, and thought it would be an hilarious prank to take my keys out of my bag. So me and my girlfriend got home, and couldn't get in. I ended up having to wake up one of my friends at 6am to let us in, who had to be in uni at 9am that day. It was not funny.

Sparknote: ONLY take someone's keys if they are in danger of harming themselves.

thats actually illegal, if a cop comes up and you are sleeping off the drunkeness, they can arrest you for drinking and driving, even if the car is not on

Kind of wish I'd been with my friends on the weekend to do that. Nothing serious happened but one of them was bragging about he took 10 shots, drank 3 beers and went driving around with 2 other friends. He only has his learners license (its a BC thing) to top it off. I may salute dumb and wreckless stuff but I had no hesitations calling him a fucking retard for that. To top it off the kids parents run a law firm, so if anybody should know about how much getting caught with that shit can fuck with your life it should be him.

Based on the thread title I honestly thought you were A. going to post the picture of a drunk persons keyboard and B. were drunk.

Apparently I was wrong.  You did the right thing though by the way.  Don't drink and drive or let your friends do it- its one of the worst decisions and possibly the last you may ever make.

A good buddy of mine around 5-6 years ago left the bars after drinking way too much (along with everyone that was there), got in a wreck and killed everyone in the car but himself.  It took them a while to figure out who was even driving the car- he couldn't remember anything- and now he has to live with what he did.  It took him about 5 years and multiple surgeries to physically recover and I don't think he will ever be able to move on mentally.

i did the same thing on saturday... party at my house with 10 kids sleeping over and 2 of em tried to get mcdonalds at 2 am i was like woah there bud even though i was trashed too... then i took everyones keys and hid them

I was the first to toss on the moon bounce.  But they apparently designed the contours of the bouncy pad to be able to hose off and effectively wash away throw up. I was like Fuck Yea
