Has anyone ever made their own tea?

i'm kind of interested. i think it would be fun. i really like herbal or flavoured kind of teas, so if anyone has a good and easy recipe or knowledge on this, share away!

one time when i was hiking i ground up pine needles with a rock and made tea just like bear grylls. but it didnt taste nice.

5) Pour water into glass
6) Put teabag into water
7) Wait a bit
8) Take tea bag out
9) Add Honey
10) Drink

as in i have pear and ginger lying around for example, and i'm boiling my water and mixing it in, and waiting for the water to take the flavor. when i'm out of tea because i drank my last bag. ha. and no i don't wanna drink my pot...

dry out herbs in the oven (for like an hour or two) at a low heat. Take these herbs and crush them up into what normal tea looks like. and one of those mini strainers and make tea. works great with mint leaves.

You can make tea out of what ever you want! just boil it for awhile and the water will take the flavor.

Is it tea if your not putting any tea in it??? Just steeping some shit in hot water doesn't really mean your having tea. Totally boiled a chicken carcass the other night, best chicken tea ever.

technically no, but all the tea companies call it tea anyway. herbal tea isn't actually tea.

and OP, if you're interested in doing this, look into the actual process of drying tea leaves. i'm not sure how it would translate over for other herbs/spices and whatnot, but it might be something you'd want to experiment with... reference: http://bit.ly/afp1Zi

Yes many different times. Everything from morning glories, weed leave, weed, mushroom tea, nutmeg tea(fuck that shit though) I think that's most of them.
