I know I'll get flack for this, as its another hellbent thread, but I need to know quickly!

I'm getting a pair of hellbents and I need to know WHAT SIZE

I'm 6'1, 180 pounds, and will use the bents as they were intended to be used. Jibs, drops, and powder.

I have a special offer on some 179s and am wondering if I should be completely reconsidering for a pair of 189s?

id go 179 if u will be spending more time in park and 189 if u wanna go in pow more

At your size it could go either way. I know guys bigger then you who love the 179 and guys smaller than you who love the 189. If you are a strong skier, comfortable with a fat, rockered ski and not afraid of the 189 I would recommend that. Also look at what type of skiing you will be doing. I really like the 189s but I sometimes wished I had 179 when I was skiing in very tree covered areas. I would say go with your gut on this one.

Okay yeah, thanks for the advice. It wouldn't be to my disadvantage to go with the 179s though? Especially if they're $200 bucks cheaper?

im 6 foot tall and love my 189s from the 09/10 season. this years hellbents run shorter. the big rocker and flat underfoot makes it ski alot shorter. i would not want a 179 pow ski.

Are they 10/11s or 09/10s?
If they are 09/10s i'd go with the 179s which measure long (more like 184-5) to save $200.
