Summit or Rocky Mountain pass?

It's my first season here in CO, and I don't know which pass I really want to go for. I'm more of an all mountain cruiser, enjoy rails, but the park is more of a back thought (thanks to the knees). I'm also in Boulder and don't know how the traffic goes, and convenience of access is definitely a factor for me. Any info will be appreciated +k, the price hike is looming a week away i believe. Also I'll be looking for carpools and crews to ride with since I'm new here.

ive got colorado pass and usually ski at breck, but mostly park. breck does have some nice all mountain skiing as well, and i get the 10 days at vail. i cant say anything about winter park and copper cause ive never been, so i dont know about the rocky mountain pass.

im also living in boulder. going up during the week is a lot easier than weekends. the traffic can be terrible, and if its snowing even worse. ive spent almost 5 hours in the car coming back during a storm on sunday night. but if you leave early enough it shouldn't be too bad.

The rocky mtn pass is nice cause you can go to winter park instead going all the way to summit. And if you do come up to summit, Copper's lift lines are as bad as keystone and breck on the weekends. But the summit/colorado pass you gets more mountain options with spring skiing at Abay.

Summit simply for acess to ABay. Rest of 'em are overrated IMO but I don't ski park much.

I'm switching to the colorado pass after years of having the rocky mtn. Mary Jane is the shit, to put it lightly. WP is ok if you're going to do park. Copper has some pretty cool alpine terrain. Then on the other pass I'm stoked to ride some Vail sidecountry as well as aspen trees. I only wanted to extend my season a bit by having abay as an option this year.

i think i may end up going with summit. Shorter lines also means more freshies, and i can't be sold on spring skiing because that shit is murder on my knee.

get the colorado pass. for like 40 bucks more you get 10 days at vail and beaver creek. so it will give you even more terrain to check out a few times. breck and keystone have some really good runs out of the park just to cruise, and some nice tree runs, plus two of the best parks in the county. and then you get a basin from oct-june for your late and early season shredding.

yeah... Colorado pass for sure. i had that one and i worked at copper so i was set to most all the areas except silverton

That is definitely the way to do it... I usually somehow get my hands on at least one or two lift tickets to Copper a season, so it works great with my Colorado Pass...

Only been to WP once and wasn't a fan but that was back in the day when I thought skiing with another chick would be fun, before I found out all girls suck.. haha

I think I need to try WP park with some dudes.

Typo? summit gets you the more populated resorts and spring skiing.
