I'm looking for a camcorder that will have 1080p and work with image stabilization and have pretty good fps. I want to use it on the mountain too. I'm looking at the new samsung m20 and also looking at the sanyo xacti. Is touchscreen a bad idea? I want recommendations but remember im looking for a camcorder, not a pocket cam (flip), or gun style cam.
well whats ur Budget??? and also what former experience have you had with cams, also what computer do u edit on, oh and also would u prefer HDV, AVCHD or well whatever there else is, because im pretty sure you wont be able to get p2 but just off of what youve said i would get a Canon HF200 its very nice, but answer those question first
im willing to pay 500 and i have a bloggie right now... the pm5 and i hate it. my dad just got an actual camcorder and im jealous. I edit right now using imovie 09 but im asking for final cut express for xmas long with whatever camera. I know what im doing when using imovie. I use an imac 27. i have a tripod. normally when i shoot i am standing on the nuckle filming. I dont know what HDV and AVCHD are.
I would say a used hv30, hv40 is your best bet. It is on tapes and only has up to 720p, but the footage is still really good. It is HDV so you don't need to much computer power to edit the footage. The controls are super easy, but you can't change to much just the basics. Search it up on google and you can look at all the specs and see if you like it.
i dont know, HDV kinda goin out, i made a mistake in buying my dvx, dont get me wrong i love it, but i still think i shouldve gone the avchd way, but back to the discussion, like i said before tapes are going out and the HF200 is tits, but save up a lil and get he hf200 and you can always just torrent final cut and save you parents 200$
ummm pretty sure its either 60p or 60i dont know for sure though, but still how old are you? if your young enough i bet that your parents will pitch in a bit if u really want this camera, and you could deff get an HF200 which is once again very good for a consumer cam
