Replying to I want to learn more about HDSLR video

I searchbarred and didnt find anything so sorry if this is a repost.

My dad recently purchased a 7D and I would like to learn more about shooting video with it. I know some stuff about cameras but am by no means an expert. I own a Canon Vixia HF200 and know how to use that pretty well (but its all auto so its not hard). My dad is very proficient in photography but knows absolutely nothing about video.

Do you guys know of any websites I could go to to read up on HDSLR video (or video in general for that matter)? Or books I could buy too. I am looking for a tutorial/ basics of HDSLR video type thing.
