Character Customization

So, not only can you pick the general look of your character based on your first perk selection, you will also be able to buy shit to alter his appearance. One of the things I can confirm is the Face Paint option. There are 21 different choices that can be purchased, with the top thirteen being $500. They are the following:

Contracts - They look to be the replacement for challenges now. Contracts help you earn more CoD money throughout the game, but they do expire within a certain time-frame and in order to complete them in the future, it looks like you will have to buy them back.

Oh shit, see... I thought low bid was like 100 credits and all I have right now is 200 (got a perk and extended mags for my Skorpion... love that thing).


And yes, the M14 rapes. Can't wait until I can get an ACOG on it.. will be just like the M21 from MW2 then.

just do mercenary challenges. they're incredibly easy and you can get 75 credits a game just by getting a 3 kill streak

I keep doing the "Get 15 kills in 40 minutes" one.

This game I am actually getting around a 1 or 1.5 KDR so I can get it done quick.

The game gets waaayy more fun once you unlock the Galil. Then you get camos and emblems on guns right after when is sweet too.

Also quickscoping is still definitely possible and fun. It's not as easy, but I'm having a good amount of fun with the L96A1.

Not always, but most of the time, even at range. Probably anything on the torso is 1 shot kill. It's definitely not MW2 sniping, but still fun. Very quick scoping, as in right when you see cross hairs in the scope, or sooner, can still be pretty inaccurate unlike in MW2. But if you give it just a second, and keep lining up your shot, you should be good. You won't go crazy with the kills, but it's still doable and fun.

the L96A1 is super fun to use...I have been using it a lot recently and does great if you hit in the torso or head.

and as you said about quickscoping you aren't going to get the amount of kills you used to but you can still do it...and who knows may with enough use you can actually get good with it. In the mean time its fun either way.


I had to stop playing for tonight wager matches were getting to intense.

God I can't play those too often. So intense. I'll start sweating in my chair. I hate being in 1st and stoked your going to get paid in Sticks and Stones, then with 5 seconds left someone tomahawks you. The amount of sadness and disbelief that comes over my face is unbearable. lol.

right? Like when I first played the game I'm all "what ever its fake money, doesn't affect me in any way"...then I lost (I play weekend gambler) and shit when you can actually lose it even if it is 100% fake, it blows.

lmgs are legit, m16 sucks, famas and m14 good ,mp5 good nuff  daul wielding isnt the best idea go with red dot sight nice and compact the reflex isnt bad but wouldnt prefer it, and best sniper would have to be psg1, o and shotties go with stakeout or spas

no "in tents" is the true spelling because the term arose back in the 1800s when camping was really gnarly, so people referred to other things that are extreme as "in tents." like camping

So after more time with it I like it better. Still not totally stoked on the guns, but I've found a few that I like enough. Prestiging will actually require some reflection this time because getting the pro version of most perks is tough, also the fact that everything costs money.

My biggest problem now is with lag. When I'm in a party we have trouble keeping everyone for a few games in a row. Also, it seems that often I'll empty a full mag into someone and they'll shoot me twice and I die.

So multiplayer is more balanced and I'd say better overall than MW2. The campaign so far is cool but its a bit ridiculous and the pacing and cut scenes aren't great.

im already a level 32. i have no fucking life. But i love the m16 once again, but its almost like cheating. its just as powerful as the sniper riffles, 1 shot in the torso kills, 2 shots anywhere else, but so much easier because you dont have to take 5 seconds to aim down the scope.

and does anyoen else love gungame? its so frustration getting demoted and not being in the mony, but its such a rush to win hahaha

I find the theater mode really sick. Treyarch will upload 30 second clips per game automatically to youtube. If you get some cool shots upload them with the theater mode

No, sorry I wasn't clear enough. Go to theater mode to cut a 30 second clip of any game (in your recent games) you want, save it on your file share, then you have the option to render it so that they can post it on youtube.

Well, since this was bumped.  I just played a demoliton match on Nuketown, and some guy on my team went 138 and 6.  WHAT THE FUCK.  Some poor guy on the other team was 12 and 88.

Anyone know why my aspect ratio thing changed on my screen? I have a wide screen 48" or something like that. The first couple times that me and my brother played split screen on xbox live, our screens stretched all the way to the sides of the screen. Now, when we play two players, the video doesn't reach the complete sides of the screen and there's two black bars on the sides. I could post pics for a better explanation. Major +k for anyone who can figure this out

Go to options and then there should be an option called "safe area"  You can change that so that the picture uses the whole screen.  Not sure if it will affect split screen, but it might be worth a try.

i finally started using the L96A1 and it is NASTY. it's definitely a little..idiosyncratic, for lack of a better word, but it's super powerful and i even got some quickscopes going with it real nice. try it out
