Character Customization

So, not only can you pick the general look of your character based on your first perk selection, you will also be able to buy shit to alter his appearance. One of the things I can confirm is the Face Paint option. There are 21 different choices that can be purchased, with the top thirteen being $500. They are the following:

Normal

Wager Match-- gamble your COD points for a bigger pay day. Top 3 get the cash.

Contracts - They look to be the replacement for challenges now. Contracts help you earn more CoD money throughout the game, but they do expire within a certain time-frame and in order to complete them in the future, it looks like you will have to buy them back.

MW2 took a ton of skill to be good at, except things like the noob tube and AA12. But if you got in a good match with a clan or something, it took a ton of skill. This new one is just a mess of people in a small area and sniping is retarded and not consistent. Im not saying that because I am bad at the game, I played well, I just think it limits the range of weapons because some are just way to good. The only way to get on a high kill streak is to keep getting behind poeple, otherwise they will spawn enemies behind you because the maps arent laid out well enough. Again making sniping useless because you must keep moving.

I haven't played black ops yet, but it can't be worse the MW2 in some respects. MW2 had people who would just use UMP and practically snipe you across the map, but sniper rifles were 2 shots and assault rifles could take 3 bursts to kill some one. There were over powered weapons and then over powered kill streak and perks such as commando pro. Im excited to play Black Ops and see, but MW2 was not perfect in and in no way required skill. Hopefully Infinity ward produces a nice balance when it releases the next MW/COD

Modern Warfare 2 took a ton of skill to be good at? you are a joke....anyone can pick up that game and do good...like i stated earlier my buddies little sister took the controller and went 6 - 13.

What a joke, Tetris takes more skill than MW2.

If you get people that know how to play enemies will never spawn behind you...you can just bum rush to the opposite side of the map if one person does it it switches the spawns...its not hard to understand the concept. Playing spawn points is a huge advantage...learn them.

6-13 is awful! Good to me is die less than three times in a match and get 20+ kills. That was my goal every game. going + single digits in K/D is bad to me and is not what I consider good.

I know how to play spawn points but others do not. I never depend on other people for anything and I am right to do so. So if I rush a spawn and others rush another it moves. I don't know when they are doing that. I can't control them. The new game takes 0 skill, it is just about buying a good gun and not using others because you will never get on a steak with a bad gun, no matter how good you are.

Just spent about 2 hours with it.

Zombies is fun, obviously. Spec Ops was cooler though.

Multiplayer seems very balanced so far. The maps are cool. My only complaints are the sound effects seem dull (maybe I need to get used to it), and you can't drop shot anymore. I also miss the class changing perks of MW2 and Pave Lows and Apaches. You already can notice no stopping power too. Obviously they took this stuff out for balance. They need more snipers and shotguns though. Then there's a bunch of other cool additions. Overall though it's way better than MW2, it reminds me of COD4.

I'm going to play single player now.

20 kills a game really isn't that good for domination. i usually get around 35, my highest is 50 and that's not on a small map

i just played the first 2 levels of black ops. pretty fun campaign. reminds me so much of waw though which is a bad thing. i just don't like the treyarch gameplay. IW has such a distinct and awesome feel but treyarch feels like it hasnt progressed past a certain point despite the awesome graphics

I never play headquarters, I just don't like it that much and if Im playing demolition its usually only in Team Tactical. But if you go 6/1 or better kill/death ratio, it probably means you are not letting them plant or take positions. You also can be taking points or defending a planted bomb and get your kills and win the game. I know what you are talking about with the people that only go for kills in those games, and if I only want to go for kills I play TDM.

I will take back a little of my original comment on me not liking it that much. I hadn't played the wager matches. Those are pretty fun.

But in the end its just a game and I was giving my .02. So as for the hate, go for it. /rant /review /me caring

i really can't fathom how terrible the multiplayer is

the movement is awful, the guns are incredibly unequal and all the ones you start with are painfully underpowered, the sound effects sound like a little kid playing war, all the perks are the same, the maps are just flank fests, the snipers take 2 shots to kill people, and everyone and their mom gets an rcxt every 5 seconds. this is awful. i want my money back

nah, i love it because a) uav is way more useful so if people want to use the rc car go right ahead b) its easy to shoot it and blow it up. it's not very good

I enjoy the time I got to play the game. But there is one thing that needs to be fixed.

I don't know about you guys....but I can't get in a party with my buddies and play....typically (cod4 and MW2) I never play with random people...always with my friends because its fun and that way you don't have to deal with the random jerks....but for some reason none of us ever make it in to the game....we can get partied up, but 4 of the 6 make it every time at the most.


also the RCXD...it is a cool option and fun to try out, but it really is a worthless kill streak, its not that strong, it doesnt help you advance towards  kill streaks. the spy plane is where its at.


does anyone have any pro perks yet?? taking me forever to complete the challenges. thus making me reconsider prestige.
