Character Customization

So, not only can you pick the general look of your character based on your first perk selection, you will also be able to buy shit to alter his appearance. One of the things I can confirm is the Face Paint option. There are 21 different choices that can be purchased, with the top thirteen being $500. They are the following:

Contracts - They look to be the replacement for challenges now. Contracts help you earn more CoD money throughout the game, but they do expire within a certain time-frame and in order to complete them in the future, it looks like you will have to buy them back.

-yea that's great and all, but does it really take this many tries to get it right? no, a little alpha and beta game testing could have pointed that out
-again, this should've been done earlier on. instead they've taken forever to get something simple right because a) they want more money or b) they're idiots
-yea, that's good. i never played enough to understand the kill streak shit but if you can't get it as often then that's good. cause helicopters are annoying as fuck.

one thing i wish they would fix in every single cod is the bloody ranking system. which isn't a ranking system at all, it's more of a 'who has less of a life than you do' or 'let's point out who's stupid enough to give up all your guns for a silly little emblem' system.

i'm not saying they're doing anything right, but they're doing it well.

i mean look at justin beiber, he sucks but the general population of 12 year olds seems to like him. that doesn't make him good.

You'll never get a copy at Gamestop unless you preordered, and you would still have to wait in line forever.  My brother preordered it for me for my birthday and I drove past my local Gamestop on the way back home from my parents' house to see a line of 20 or so people already sitting outside the store (8:30pm)  I doubt I'll get it before 1 tonight.  With that being said, go to Walmart.  I got MW2 at the midnight launch at Walmart last year and I was one of like 8 people there.

Wal-mart will have 10 - 20 people max...great place to get your midnight release.

I like gamestop because usually the people are fun to chill with and our gamestop down here is giving out free pizza and energy drinks so its worth it. Plus they do a good job at managing the lines....if you preordered you go up pay for it all and get your recipt then when midnight comes you just hand them your recipt and get your copy....then the suckers that didn't pre order wait forever in a different line.

If you didn't pre order go to wal mart.

just got back from blockbuster where i got to play early. SO much fun its crazy. highly reccomend the mk21(i think) its the first LMG, its got low recoil, high fire rate, and hits hard. id say its better than the aug. now i need to sell everything i own to get another xbox so i can actually play

very fun game. wish i didn't have to work tomorrow so i could play it longer. so far so good.

the gamestop by me was packed. got there an hour early and good thing I did. The line was just reaching around the building when I got there and right after I got my spot in line everyone and their mothers showed up. The workers were saying they sold 700 copies for the preorder. Seems like a pretty large number.

the only care package I got someone on my team snagged.

If you have a quick trigger finger the M14 is freaking awesome...and for LMG the first one you get whcih is the MK21 i believe is epic as well.

From what I read online Treyarch was trying to go for an "old school Vietnam war movie" look with the graphics (like Full Metal Jacket or Platoon type look).

meh but the gameplay is smooth and good. Graphics don't matter as long as the gameplay is good.

Spawns are a little off.

and being that it just released a lot of people sit in corners....and the biggest thing that will affect people sitting in corners is your K/D is displayed to everyone now.

yeah but one of the reasons i didn't like older cods was because the graphics were bad and it was hard to see people. I hear sniping is hard as fuck now. anybody get killed with some of those stupid remote explosives yet?

Graphics are about the same as World at War (Treyarch made both so go figure). Game play and flow blew. Cool weapons like the crossbow and ballistic knife. Maps are too small. I did the contract 'get two long range kills in 40 minutes' and couldnt do it with the sniper rifle because there is no where to look long range. I got them using the tomahawk because it doesnt have to be as far. Split screen online is the best thing about it. Over all, very disappointed and will be playing MW2 a lot with this.

Just figured out if you rapidly press both triggers at the main menu (after you press start) you can break free from the torture chair and walk around the room.  There's a computer that you can use but I don't know the password.

I like how the killstreaks are a lot less overpowered. They won't get you a ton of kills like mw2. Someone did get the gunship on Nuketown and the map is so small the whole thing is a spawn point, so he raped the shit out of everyone with it. But that won't happen on regular sized maps. Overall the maps are a lot more intricate too. I like it. The Wager matches are really fun. Definitely worth buying imo.
