ok so I haven't skied in 6 months, and now im about ready to crack. why cant it just be winter alllll the time? and i know the scientific reason.

With immaculate parks in Hood and Whistler, european glaciers, bottomless pow days in South America, huge contests in NZ, and pages upon pages of threads boasting summer set ups, .... I think the real question you have to ask yourself is "Why am I not skiing year round?"

Who am I kidding though, I am going insane waiting to ski again.  If only I was rich and could travel the world so it would always be winter.

yeah dude, gotta make decisions then...

either you go for snow and skiing 120% and give up all other stuff in your life, and i'm quite sure you'll make it, or you just find a healthy balance between skiing and summer sports, maybe take up rockclimbing or skateboarding or something, but just crying all summer because it isn't winter isn't a very healthy mindset ...

i miss skiing just as much as everyone on this site, and this was the first summer i hadnt been skiing all summer long in years (used to train for moguls). but i love summer. aside from not being able to ski its the fuckin best. hot weather, sunny days, if it weren't for being able to ski I would hate the winter, especially in the city its just gross wet and cold. only good when you get on the hill.

how do you think i feel? i live in the UK and where i live, we get 2 days of snow all year (if were lucky) and even then we only have a golf course to shred... and the nearest indoor slope is a 2 hour drive away from me, i wish i lived near a mountain :(

True.  I also think it's because our sport incorporates a lifestyle to it.  We all love the mountains and being out in beautiful spots in nature, etc.  We don't train, we live.
