I tried to return a pair of skullcandys I bought that stopped working 3 months after purchase, and the guy wouldn't let me without a receipt. Who the fuck keeps a receipt for a $30 product? Needless to say, I now buy Sony's; I don't even need to worry about the receipt because they never break.
Skullcandy is the only brand that makes in-ear buds that actually stay in my ear. I've tried so many different kinds and nothing else stays in. That's why I buy them.
file a warranty saying that there is a short in the left speaker. they will email you back tell you to cut the plug off and send it in. ive done this alot. it works. too bad they take forever to send you your new shitty headphones
I broke a pair and sent em in with no receipt or anything. Told them I smacked my head pretty good and broke them in half and they sent me a brand new pair. So Skullcandy is fine by me
first of all you do it online. second of all I was told to just put in that you purchased them the day you send the warranty in by one of the guys over at skullcandy. third of all, why would they send it to you when they can just pay the cost of the stamp to have 12" of the cord sent in to skullcandy and they pay for postage back to your door?
i dont get all the hate on skullcandy. my icons have lasted me 2 years, 2 full ski seasons of almost daily use, and more in the off season. one of the top support bands snapped because i fell on it, thats it.
1. buy skullcandy full metal jackets on steepandcheap.com for $26 +shipping
2. wait for a speaker to die
3. warranty on skullcandy.com
4.???????
5. Profit
ended up with new icon2's for this season, asymm's for earbuds (actually quite comparable to the FMJ for $30 less) and i got free shipping so i still have about $15 store credit on the skullcandy site. just waiting for the hats to re-stock.
i registered mine when i bought them on the site then filed a warranty and they never responded and i know my local shop wouldnt warranty them either but i still buy icons for riding
try sennheiser. 100x better sound quality than skullcandy headphones and lik 500x better quality than skullcandy in-ear. they are cheap, stay in your ear perfectly, and cancel outside noise. they're a dream
