to stop people from reposting, a box next to the title could appear when someone is making a thread with the top 4 or so search results. then people could just click on the link from there and avoid an annoying repost

He's saying make the thread bar title a quasi-searchbar so that as you made your thread, it would display if there were already results for it.

However dude a lot of thread titles are completely unrelated to what's inside, or phrased cleverly, or use different acronyms or synonyms or wordings or symbols or jargon...yeah, a lot can be different. I bet it would take a ton of computing power to make a thread-title-searchbar look through every thread with every keyword ever.

I say its unlikely that this will ever come to fruition - good thought, but not applicable.

We really need to be able to put tags on our posts. But then kids would tag their edits and sale threads with things like tall t, t wall, etc.
