ok so about a month ago i paid 280$ to bp for his nikon d80 and the 18-135 lens that it was coming with. i am still yet to get this and hes told me he has shipped it twice but still nothing. he also basically stopped answering my pm's. if anyone knows him personally please help me out and get him to send me my camera. i sold mine to get this and i cant go any longer without one


can someone tell me how to post the pm's in the thread?

Contact the police department in his city - file a report. Contact your police department, file a report.

http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx - File a Federal internet fraud claim. I can't remember but I believe over $250 and across state lines can be felony fraud.

Keep your records, you'll need to provide proof of the conversations, and payment.

It's not a quick process, but if you stay on top of it, you'll be able to get at minimum the DA in his county to file a charge and go after him. Keep in mind it's the government, they have bigger things to go after, so they think they have better things to do - but if you're persistent you'll get results.

I feel you dude, it's a bummer that you haven't been able to resolve this issue yet. There were definitely a few things you could have done to help prevent this situation from happening but that is a lesson learned. As for BP he is not handling his shit well at all, it is beyond irresponsible to let an issue like this go on for this long without contact, explanation and attempt to resolve.

It is sad that this is where it has gone but I would try to get the local authorities involved in this matter. He has had beyond enough time to fix the situation.

it has been a month and 6 days since you made this thread as well as you said its been going on a month before this. If you havent contacted any form of authority yet you need to. local police, his local police, federal or whatever else. Dont know much about yours/his state laws, but im pretty sure $280 dollars counts as grand theft. Your incredibly stupid if you havent filled a report yet.

All you dumbasses saying to beat the shit out of BP are the reason this shit happens. Stop playing pretend time and actually try to deal with the problem. If you dropped his ass your feeding his scamming. Instead of paying you money he would charge you will assult and fuck you even more. It just wouldnt end well.

Im suprised nobody brought this up yet but why was your paypal account locked up? If paypal locked you out of your account and you had to make a new one for him to refund you, maybe he refunded your old account that you cant access. That would suck if thats what happened but its something to think of. Try and contact paypal again and start from the beginning and explain everything. They might point you in the right direction.


Unless you personally know BP or can get a hold of him then there isnt much NS can do. All this hate stormin from NS wont help your cause much, especially if you use it as evidence against BP. The best thing to do is to keep calm and cool no matter how long it goes on for. If you get angry and start bitchin him out, he will use it against you if you guys go to court.

Hopefully everyone that reads this thread learned that you need to get full info from who your dealing with and should probably call the seller to talk about how to process will go down before sending payment.

No hate to either side, wish things could have had worked out for both of you.

im sending him warning messages until i call the feds on monday. i am locked out of my paypal for some stupid reason and the accont is limited. so i cannot recieve funds, send funds, or transfer them. so by him telling me that he refunded me is completely false because it is not possible. i have made a new account for him to refund me and have sent him all the info on it and he still has yet to refund me. i will also be contacting paypal on monday before i file a report to see if there is anything that they can do

Seriously dude - you've been bumping a thread for a month and you've opted to not do anything. There are about 50 ways to get your money back through Paypal, you haven't done that. You threatened to contact the authorities two weeks ago, you haven't done that.

It's fucked up this guy screwed you over - but it sure doesn't look like there are going to be any repercussions for him - because all you're doing is bumping a thread, and not taking any action.

His friends here have apologized for him, and said it's messed up - but that's all they can do. He clearly doesn't give a shit about his reputation, and from the looks of it, there's no reason for him to man up and make it right. You're the guy in the situation, you have to be the one to get yourself out.

alright, could it be possible that he attempted to refund you to your old account, and isn't aware that it hasn't gone through?

if he hasn't been on facebook, and he hasn't logged in anywhere else in forever, then obviously hasn't been on the internet, so he most likely hasn't received any of your messages that way.

what's to say he hasn't gotten a new phone and number as well? i know he recently moved to utah, so that wouldn't be out of the question.

sounds to me like it was your other account getting closed down at such an inconvenient time that really fucked this all up. and i'm still interested in why it got closed down? you've been kinda beating around the bush there.

i may be biased, just because i back bp for what he has done for the midwest in recent years. i'm just saying, this could be a giant, ongoing, miscommunication.
