My great grandpa built one for my grandma when she was a kid. Nows its being used at my local ski hill. Sucks she didn't keep it for us.

yeah i guess my friends basic shop skills from his voc school didnt really think of that one. haha but its what ever now we have a fresh go kart

all you need is a pully on the uphill side tied to something(tree, weight) and an old dirt bike that runs. you take the back tire off and tie the front to something (weight, tree) and set the bike on a block to get the back rim off the ground. Run a rope, splice it and pull tight. I used a come a long at the top to get the tension right....works great put the bike in first gear and go

built one two years ago out of an old lawn tractor, bicycle and 600ft of tri-strand rope. total cost was like 50 bucks since i already had the tractor and the bike. It could pull 3 skiers at once!

NIOCE! that sounds ill.... how fast did it go? And i could make one if i wanted to but i dont have a use for it...:( unless... i made one that hauled and i could make little jumps around my yard!!!

yeah there's one at a friend of mines house. its a super old ford truck on blocks with a rope around the back wheel.

I will lap jibs for days once I build one.... riding lawnmower axle/tire should work well..now to buy property with a proper slope....haha

my dream in life is to buy property with a a long steep hill with cliffs and what not and have a chairlift with two chairs, one on opposite ends of the cable, with a kill switch at the top where you get off, so the when the chair stops the one at the bottom is already right at the start. I grew up with a family that bought a legit ropetow from an old resort, so legit

im pretty sure thats everyone on this sites, dream. also lift the back end of a lawn tractor, put it in desired gear, and thur ya go. personally we just use a quad with some water ski ropes. good for 2 skiers and it beats the hell outa walking
