Tokina 11-16 vs canon 10-22

hi guys,
i know there are many threads on uwa on NS but i wanted to know if some of you ever experienced those lenses. I came close to buy the tokina but a seller in a specialized shop told me that the canon had faster AF. If you have one or ever tied one tell what you think about it

AF is really going to change your mind from getting arguably the best SWA zoom lens? The 10-22 sucks compared to the 11-16

honestly, i don't know what you based on to claim that the canon 10-22 sucks compare to the tokina. The canon had better flare control. less barrel distortion great colors and more. They have both pros and cons this is why i asked for user's opinions. And yes, AF is important for my decision.

why the hell would you use AF on an ultrawide? All it will do is slow you down....

and the tokina wins hands down, its f2.8 across the zoom, not a slower, variable aperture....

in moderately low light i've found that the tokina's AF has a difficult time focusing. But it's an UWA, AF isn't particuarly needed.

It's out of stock for canon most places. If you do find one, it's usually marked up $100. Chances are you'll just have to pay that if you want it any time soon.

Order it off Adorama. In ~2 weeks they will ship you one even though it's "out of stock"

Also, Tokina 11-16 destroys the 10-22.
