How to sew in pants

hey ive got an old pair of pants, and basicaly i want to know how to problerly sew them in  so they fit tight.

Turn them inside out, sew a line down the inside of the leg, around the crotch, and down the other leg. Make sure you don't sew too far past the knee or it will look boxy.

1. Turn them inside out
2. Use safety pins to pin them as tight as you want them, while wearing them of course
3. While theyre still inside out, sew just on the inside of the pins, all the way up.
4. Cut off the extra material at the seam
5. Flip right side out and enjoy

1. Flip them inside out
2. Sew however much off on the inside of the leg
3. Sew over it again
4. Sew over it again
5. Sew over it again
6. Sew over it again for good luck
7. Flip right side out and hope you didn't sew too much off and the legs match.
8. You can either keep the material on the inside in case the sewing rips or you don't want them skinny anymore, or cut the extra material out.

Do what everyone else here says but I wouldn't recommend cutting out the extra material, then your seams are no longer tapered and your pants will be far less waterproof.

Exactly. And if you accidently rip the seam, you will have a hole in your pants.

dont forget to leave room last year i sewed mine a little to tight an some of the stitching came out
