i followed the vapor line up as they were the top of the line skates, so i had a pair of X's back in like 2002 and then i used XX's for years and years before getting XXX's and then i got a pair of pro stock XXXX's off ebay and they SUCKED. i love that the supremes don't cut up my ankles (i have massive ankles) but they are too high and tight around, i don't even lace the top lace which compromises the stiffness incredibly, but i'm used to being able to lean super far forward in the vapors and crank (i play center)
supremes do have longer steel, the holder is the same but it's a tuuk LS 2.1 power vs the LS 2 that comes on vapors so it's slightly longer in the toe which means you get more power out of your strides but you can't skate as quickly. my ideal skate would be an EE vapor xxxx with a heel as deep as the supremes so i didn't get wicked lace bite from the metal ringlets and with the old vapor xxx toebox so i didn't rip my toenails off
i'm just gonna try to get a pair of vapor x50's or something since the bottom of the line vapors are absolute shit. they're just so damn expensive
Yeah my school only has football and cross country for fall sports, and I'm not a football fan haha, but x country sure gets you in shape for the ski season, and im sure soccer does the same, I wish my school offered it for boys.
