iFlipVery, very nice. I have a pair of ELs and have wanted a Swaro spotting scope for quite a while (I even have the tripod for it). I just can't justify it right now with how infrequently I use a spotter.
That's awesome! Do you love them? And yeah, pulling the trigger on this scope is an investment, but we are hoping it will pay off.
My dad - who's a bird biologist - FINALLY bought himself a pair of ELs to celebrate his retirement. My binos are a pair of Vipers from 2013, and I definitely have bino envy! This is my first year since 2013 that I am able to go on a hunt longer than four days (having kids, crazy jobs), so we'll see how everything goes.
Sdot.Yes, well lots of personal sacrifice has come with my salary - I'm sure more than most on this site - including not seeing my kids for months at a time throughout the pandemic because I was working 18-22 hour days and essentially living at my office... Those are moments that I would gladly trade a Swaro to get back. But since that's not possible, we'll put our new optics to use while on a twelve-day family moose+caribou hunt (kids and all) next month.
We recently sold our Vortex Viper 20-60x80 that I bought my husband as a wedding present in 2014. It was a decent scope, but it just doesn't cut it when trying to determine whether a Dall's sheep ram is legal or not (among other things)!
Hopefully my post came off as sarcastic jealousy, and not being a dick. Good luck on the hunt! Caribou and Yukon moose, and Dall sheep are all on my short list of bucket-list hunts.

They're great but I honestly don't use them as much as I use cheaper (but still quality) more compact binoculars. The hunting I do in the Northeast where I utilize optics is usually treestand hunting for whitetails and bears. I really don't need an amazing quality pair of optics. My compact/pocket-sized Zeiss get most of the use.
I'll happily give you the ELs if you get a guide accreditation in Alaska so that I can come Dall hunting with you.
Got a new bike to get around especially cus my truck has been in poor shape this summer. She needs some new rear brake pads and pretty general tuning up but otherwise is in great shape. I want to ride a lot more both for the environment and fitness, plus it's fun. Ik it's not the craziest bike but I haven't had one since my first semester of college so im hyped
No.QuarterGas mowers for residential use exist to protect those with fragile sense of masculinity tied up by how much noise something makes.
Nothing like getting a good mow in at 7am with my gas mower, then tidying up with my two stroke weed eater. And if I'm feeling extra chipper, I'll trim the hedges with the two stroke hedge trimmer.
First bass with a non-warped neck in forever. Been looking around the guitar shop every week for so long and I finally found the perfect one so I’m hyped. I barely had to spend anything too with gift cards and trade ins so I can still afford skis, I was worried for a while
gearing up for the season With mask restrictions fogging was a big issue last year. These goggles should help with that, plus for touring it'll be nice to just pop them open instead of taking them off every time.
Replacing some salomon shits with these guys on my daily driver
Destroyed my old trail runners, these have been great so far
lost my old mittens, figured if it was cold enough for mitts I should get a really warm pair.
fender squier p bass, $150 off fb marketplace. still had the plastic on the pick guard and everything. stoked to start playing around with it, haven’t really picked up an instrument since i quit piano like 8yrs ago
Went camping on a rainy weekend and realized I forgot to bring boots, had to make a stop at REI as soon as my Vans were soaked through. And soon realized I forgot some of the most essential rainy day items
Best Buy had the goods today. Showed up at like 7 and was at least 100-150 in line and still got one. People have been camped out all night in 50 degree F and a downpour lol. Turns out most people were there for PS5. Only reason I'm getting this is so I can do cross play for Battlefield with my pc friends
