120mm underfoot, fully rockered, stiff, swallowtail ski blade. 100 cm long. Gonna put Vipecs on them and try to ski as many big Teton lines as I can on them this year. Just need to find some collapsable splitboard poles to go with them.
anders_aMore volkl stuff rolled in, my revolt series 2021 collection is growing.
Superstoked on the duke PT 16, my last pair of shifts are living dangerous
New il moro fits my left foot (smallest) but... I managed to cut up my right foot (dont ask), so wont be able to test/ski for a few weeks probably :| its not like they are easy to getting into, but damn they look good
DominatorJacquesThose should be an easy on boot! I can't put my boots on unless they are heated first, and I mean hot!
Young_pattyMight be late to this party but I’ve been usin one of these for over a year and tbh it’s hard to go back to anything else
anders_aIs it age? or 140 flex race boots? :p
A female friend has like 24-25? boot size and left her atomic touring boots in the car overnight (very cold) before we were going touring, I was really annoyed having to wait for her she took forever to get them on and couldnt.... I'm a big guy, but it took 100% of my force + her finesse to get in them, never thought it possible :p non PU boots.. meh :p
The il moro tounge has limited lift/flex forward vs tradiotional boots, + the ID liner wrap around thingy

BigPurpleSkiSuitFind me another company making a nice purple suit at a reasonable price.
anders_a2020 magnus 102? what color are the new bases? how do they feel hand flexing the new layup?
sqeellicbicThey're the same bases as every other year. They're surprisingly stiff when hand flexing but I was able to flex them pretty easily when I clicked into them because of the rocker. They're probably like 25% stiffer than the magnus 90s.

AbiHDang boy you’ve got the set up!! I want those dabellos sooooo bad!
anders_asorry to flex but... you have to see them with gold pivots on a gold ski
also got pics on forza 1.0s if anyone cares

larilinesignI'm kinda at my personal limit where I can't realistically expect myself to safely progress much further without a spine protector.
So... I got one of them gummy-vest-types that they make specifically for people of color.
And get a load of this! They have a slimming women's version that actually fits correctly!

DayManThose are awesome, mine has saved my back a couple times. Most notably I was trying a handdrag/lazyboi 3 and just totally didn't commit and hit the knuckle right in the middle of my back and I literally didn't feel it and just popped right up and skied away. They're kinda cozy too, you get used to it after a day

DominatorJacquesVery wise move. I use a protection vest most all the time. It has a turtleback spine and back protection on the back.
Saved my back several times. It's very similar to what moto-cross people use.
larilinesignI'm glad to get some positive feedback on this. Somehow I had this mental barrier on wearing one like it would make me less cool. I'll tell ya tho I've had a couple scares where the hit just missed my spine, and I'm not about to toe that line anymore

SendyMcSendyfaceHaving a functioning back is pretty cool
anders_ahmmm I blame @Greg_K I got a deal'ish on them, had to buy a few others as well, bought my first 74mm skis in ages ;)

DominatorJacquesGet out those 74 waist, and we can rip some turns!
Greg_KYou copying my style over there?! Haha
You get the 183cm version then? They measure only 181cm but long effective edge and nice flex. Really looking forward to them! Think they will be a Enforcer 104/Fisher Ranger 102/Menace 98 blend.
anders_aHah, what an insult on thinking I got the 183, I got the 188cm $$$ version. Because... yeah you know short skis suck :p
Have you looked at the bases & tune? Im thinking I will just mount on on the CT mark , not mount it back.
I picked up 112 & 122 191cm K2 reckoner as well, and 189cm Line vision 118, and black ops gamer 118. + the MTi 74mm.
You know you bought to many skis when the dude is like, let me walk you to your car! (super cool dude, super knowledgeable on skis, super specific and accurate on everything, didnt oversell, and no BS attitude, talked with his boss instore for a deal when I asked, and called his boss again to get a me a deal on everything).
Gonna put some stuff for sale this weekend I guess, new skis in, means other stuff out.
Greg_KWas surprised when the pic has the 183cm size underlined and figured you’d go 188cm. My bases were fairly flat but was at a place to get the bindings mounted with the $350k Winterstieger Mercury so had just the bases ground flat for $20 CAN and I’m doing the edges and waxing myself. Putting a 1/3 tune sharp tip to tail. If you got the 188cm, go Candide line.
Going to ski them first and see if I’m keeping the Enforcers and Fishers still but I bet they will be sold.
Gamers/Black Ops 118 are crud destroyers! Could run over a small child and barely notice. Lol

anders_aDude you had me checking, but the sticker just means the stated numbers are for the 183
They weight in at 2320 and 2420 grams! so that has to be the heaviest factions ever. Also means one of the ways of turning is going to be stiffer :p
They measure out to exact 186cm for me, if we say center is then 93, the CT mark is at -33mm ish, so yeah subtract my measurment error of margin and we are at -3 from center on CT mark, should be fun for sure. menace 98 187s measure out at like 184,5? iirc. Flex seemed quite even on them, for sure way more front rocker than tail, really easy to see when pressing skis together. Kinda funny to see the titanal base plate underfoot as well.
I ran a truebar + light on bases, they are not 100% flat, the middle is just a tad lower on avg, but decent for sure. just checked tune, I have to say, fairly aggresive. Getting bindings mounted for sure has its highlights as they quite often check the skis for me and just fix them if they are not perfect. I will probably mount them myself though. I just grabbed a few binders to test looks, forza 1.0, 2.0, gold and jester 16 black + jester 18 pro (green ) ... I think the forza 2.0s match the least. but going all black and stealhty miiiight be cool, green also looked good. Was pondering green bindings on mine if they didn’t have the red. Liking coloured bindings more than black on most skis now.
I sold all but my enforcer 110s in the series of enforcers I had, supereasy to sell I have to say.. Keeping my fischers though, payed so little for them, and love them so much.

danbrownthis seems rather unnecessary for swiveling around on flat ground
CatdickBojangles
Since my quiver keeps getting bigger I figure I can justify these and save myself some time and energy hand brushing. Kinda scared to use the brass one though.
anders_ayou get STEEL brushes .oO
DominatorJacquesRotoing is sacrilegious! By hand is the only way!
CatdickBojanglesBrass. Not sure what you mean here?
anders_aNo, I mean, you get STEEL brushes, brass isnt that rough at all, here you see a steel version ;)
I used to freak out over the brass until I touched a steel one.

CatdickBojanglesEh it saves time. Probably still brass brush by hand but definitely nylon and horse hair rotobrushing.
