let s hope the ropes wont eat this pair of gloves as fast as all my previous pairs.
hestra, pow, kinko, ortovox and every other brand I tried so far are utter trash if you work with ropes. I ll glue an extra thick layer of leather on the palm to prevent that like usual. man skiing is an expensive hobby. at least I don t need a season pass this year.

iFlipWhy such long screws? 13cm and 16cm see 90% of climbing use, with the remaining 10% being divided between 10cm and the very occasional 19cm. In general the longer screws are useful for V threads and not much else. I've used a few 19cm screws when protecting super chandeliered ice, or in the spring when conditions get soft. If you're just starting a rack of screws, return these and buy 16cm and 13cm. Most climbers will carry a single 19cm or 22cm on multi-pitch for making V threads and that's it.
I've never used a single 22cm screw, and I've climbed ice very extensively. It's worth noting that the thread length (what actually holds) on all of the screws is the same, with the exception of the 10cm. The longer screws are just for getting to the "good" ice through whatever is on the surface. If the ice is solid then put in a 13cm as it is just as good as a 16cm or even a 22cm. You will pump out needlessly placing a longer screw in good conditions. Plus, lots of ice is not thick enough to accommodate longer screws.
PlanktonDevinci Hatchet gravel bike to keep my Devinci trail bike company. Been getting really into gravel lately as the mtb season winds down, it's awesome:
surfaceoutsidersThat's weird, where is the FT logo on the nose?

surfaceoutsidersGod gave you a chance to find a good deal on Full Tilts somewhere else
nolliebackflipMy broke ass can't afford buying ascendants
surfaceoutsidersPeep the BST page maybe?
Also I hope you went to a bootfitter to determine that ascendants are the best touring boot for you? In all seriousness, I hate how people default to Full Tilts. I ride what fits my foot shape best, like how everyone should.

cyphers
hopefully will do double duty for ski vids and design class projects
cozzeyMore details on this? What model? Why’d you pick it? I’m in the market and looking for advice.
cyphersit's a panasonic gx85. so far i've been borrowing other people's cameras for class projects, finally decided to sack up and buy my own. copped one on ebay for $275 so i saved a good chunk of money over buying a new one.
besides taking good project photos, i wanted a camera that i could use for skiing, and the gx85 has 4k video so it was a pretty easy choice. it's also much smaller than a traditional dslr so i won't need to haul around a huge ass camera setup.
tbh i don't know a lot about cameras, i just jumped on this one because it had a good balance of photo and video quality and wasn't gonna bankrupt me

I'm gonna take you up to Glendale
Gonna take you for a real good meal"
TheHamburglarHell yeah. How far out do you push that thing?
I just built my first AR, bought a 16" 556 stainless barrel upper from PSA. Love it.
cozzeyAre the lenses interchangeable or is it fixed?
BigPurpleSkiSuitYeah, it is a good car
OregonDeadLooks dope. Little AWD station wagons are really the best IMO. I drove my friends rental Hyundai last weekend and I could not remember which song had those lyrics and then your post reminded me.
BigPurpleSkiSuitIts actually closer to the size of a RAV4, I'm just tall. It's a Tucson, not a Kona
OregonDeadRAV4 size is still pretty compact tho which IMO is much more practical than a big pick up or yukon if you want to squeeze in to the lot on a pow day
