Much needed purchases. POC has saved my ass so many times after getting a bad concussion 8 years ago, and my current Dakine bibs have done plenty of work in these last 4 years so I'm excited to replace them.
Mar-O
These rain pants, seems perfect to keep in the backpack in case of rain when biking or hiking.
And new liners for my Hestra heli ski mitts.
Hestras are sexy. I just grabbed a pair as well. Ones with czone on the back. I think they are the perfect mix of warmth and breath-ability. Hopefully they dont get torn to pieces like every other glove I have owned!

Just make sure you remember to grease them regularly if they are leather and they should hold a long time if they are the alpine pro series! My other Hestra gloves probably have around 200-250 skiing days and are still solid besides the replaceable liner being really worn and some small leather damage that can be easily fixed. Will probably get a third pair of Hestras soon as I still want a better glove for the warmest spring days.
Also just bought this because of a pro deal, not really a fan of Helly Hansen gear at all after 5 seasons of pretty terrible work jackets but this looked decent enough.
No. But I am signed up for an avy class here at the end of the month and will decide on what I should buy for the Backcountry after the course. Till then I just plan on dicking around a little. That being said. I know it's stupid to enter the Backcountry without the proper gear but I just can't help myself but where I am going there is little avy danger until I her higher up. Plan on doing this up on Mt. Lassen. Such an underrated playground.

Smart to stay out of avy terrain until after your class. You will want&need to practice using you skins and transitions before the class so you can keep up. Ski area or check with the people putting on your class and they should suggest a place. Rent the beacon probe and shovel for class and then have a better idea what to buy after talking to your instructors.
Big props for investing in avy class!
