SKI.INGMaybe he's a weekend warrior who doesn't need winter tires? Maybe he has a life outside of skiing to where all seasons benefit him more, for a larger portion of the year? You guys on here get too extreme when buying things. It always has to be the most niche item, and the most expensive thing ever.
GhiniBought a vintage Artifort designed by Kho Liang Ie. True bargain, its a bit damaged.
Gonna reupholster it and powder coat the frame.
Example:
ElgDon't understand why this was down voted. Best winter tires, period.
I don't know why you guys are getting all season tires. Those suck compared to any winter/summer specific tire.

Chewy.Because I'm not a bitch, and I can handle driving in Montana snow with all season tires?

saskskierLaurent was quoting me and I definitely picked up winters. Not sure who down voted it, but whatever. I didn't get Nokian's, but still got winters (Michelin X-Ice xi3). I know a few people who've had these without any complaints.
As for those getting all seasons? It completely depends on what kind of driver and where you live. If you are in the mountains, it's probably not the best idea. If you don't, you can probably get away with them as long as you aren't an idiot. Most of my life I've driven all seasons without any issues, but not I've got a rwd car, so winters it is.
WillgumYeah I agree, I spent 400$ for some cheap snows on steelies after running all seasons during a snowstorm . The difference is MASSIVE, and if it saves me from a crash just once it's worth it.
Btw what RWD car are you running? I have a Miata and its a goddamn drift missile in the snow haha
J.D.Basically, anyone who drives in a snowy winter climate without snow tires is an asshole and shouldn't be allowed to drive. Snow tires in snow climates should be mandatory.

Laurent. In most of Europe the use of snow/winter tires is a legal requirement during winter months (usually November to mid-April).
RedPandaThat just looks like an old, uncomfortable couch. What's so special about it?

$434 a month for the next 5 years. Oh well.
Sno.You wont regret it.
We have a 2010 TRD Sport Double Cab long bed and took out a 2.9% car loan back in 2012 when we bought it on a 5 year loan. As of May we'll have just one year left of a $540/month payment. Once it is paid off, though, it will be awesome. We'll have that truck forever (only had 6k miles on it when we bought it)-- will likely end up being a first car for our child even. I don't even think it has depreciated. We could probably sell it today for exactly what we paid.
Congrats!

.MASSHOLE.Yeah! Super stoked on it, pick it up tomorrow.
Make SURE you look into any online deals because most dealerships are not too willing to go far below MSRP. Only reason I got them under MSRP was an Edmunds.com deal they did not realize they still had.
Also, if you are a recent college graduate you get a $750 rebate as well.
Fred_BearGet weathertech floor mats. 100% worth it in a truck
.MASSHOLE.One of the few purchases I will make in the upcoming weeks. Unfortunately Weathertech doesn't have them ready yet, while Husky does. Ever use Husky before?

Studless cause I drive a manual
iFlipI fail to see the connection. I also drive a manual, and all four of my winter tires have studs. It's like driving a tank.
