Chewy.What did you pay?
saskskier$300(cdn) for all four. Considering they go for $170ish each, I'm happy.

Chewy.That's a hell of a deal.
Mine were $455(USD) new. Because of a sale.
.Rybak.Jesus guys... mine were 675 last year when i bought them...
Chewy.Mine were pretty basic all season tires. I think they usually were around $600 or so.
.Rybak.What did you get? I have General altimax arctic and they worked great last winter.

Chewy. What do you drive? And did you buy studs?
.Rybak.If he's in MN im pretty sure it's illegal to have studs.
Chewy.Really? Weird. I don't use them. I just always use all season tires but that's crazy.
.Rybak.They're really tough on the pavement and for the most part roads are plowed regularly. I'm sure you could get away with having them way up north though.
Chewy. We have certain dates that we allow them.

ElgDon't understand why this was down voted. Best winter tires, period.
I don't know why you guys are getting all season tires. Those suck compared to any winter/summer specific tire.
JapaneezyIts cheaper.
Elgyeah, save money on safety.

SKI.INGMaybe he's a weekend warrior who doesn't need winter tires? Maybe he has a life outside of skiing to where all seasons benefit him more, for a larger portion of the year? You guys on here get too extreme when buying things. It always has to be the most niche item, and the most expensive thing ever.
ElgHow are winter tires a niche item? Is it not normal for "you guys" across the pond to have 2 sets of wheels?
Winter tires are not just better for driving on snow and ice, it also performs better in colder temperatures. You might get up the hill with your big truck and 4wd, but your breaking distance is still way longer on bad tires.
