JakeSmithThat's the 6BT, right? I've been looking at getting a 2nd gen for my first truck, but I don't really need a truck other than it'd be an awesome camping vehicle, and diesel is sometimes cheap and they can get solid fuel econ.
Yeah stick with a 12 valve easier and cheaper to work on. I get decent fuel economy with mine but I've got it turned up and I'm leaking at an injector. I have a MK5 GTI and I prefer to drive my 26 year old truck over it. I'm gettin around 18-20 mpg with my truck and 22-24 with my gti and right now diesel is cheaper then the premium gas I have to put in my gti.
Went up a size bigger to have em last a few years even tho the BSLs bigger than my old pair meaning I'll have to remount.
On a side note, what is the general rule of thumb with FKS' and remounts? No more than 2? A little cautious cuz I just got a new setup back in March and I know you can't move those bindings without physically remounting them.
Never size up your boots, made that mistake in Langes and had the worst season of my life. You can adjust the BSL on FKS, I believe its like +/-5mm if mounted correctly, just be weary most techs will screw it up as its pretty finicky.

I hear ya for sure, the fits quite nice though as it is, spent a good few hours walking about the house in them fully cranked down and they felt quite nice, even on my bum ankle. But what really matters is how they ski so we will see, I still have my 25.5s so in the event of them not working out, Ill just switch right back to those old stinky ones. But yes, normally I am weary of buying a size up, but ive been in the same 25.5s for nearly 3-4 years now and while the fit was awesome when I first got them, it was starting to get a bit painful due to my toes being all crammed together in the front of the liners. Granted a full 1mm up in size is somewhat extreme, im not too worried about it.
Also would you recommend having a ski tech move them up for me or is this something that can be done with competence and basic mechanical skills?

Its just a lot easier to make a boot bigger than it is smaller, I'm sure it will be fine, its also personal preference, I like as small a boot, while others prefer something roomier.
I would probably go to a tech, just be diligent. One place tried to remount my bindings with out even asking me first, went to a tech I trusted and he moved the heels for me, no remount.

Well I checked the website a few days ago and thought it said that you could pre order the 6s cases but after just checking it it just says coming soon, woops, my bad lol. Looks like I'll just have to wait for it to drop, but by the time this phone comes in the mail the case should be out.

also I didn't realize the .02 mm made adifference for the case but I guess if I'm using a waterproof case it should probs fit. Guess I'l just return the one I've got right now haha

I read an article saying that the 6s plus is being delayed due to issues with the production of the lcd screen. On the at&t website it says expected shipping is like the last week in october so i'm going to my local att store 2m and gonna see if i can pick one up there, but if not I guess I have to wait.

tbh my jacket I got is a little bigger than I expected but its not an issue, its a tinsy bit bigger than my XL causwell jacket. these mitts on the other hand (lol puns) are going to be superb, hestra is a solid company and been jonesin to get a pair for the longest time.

do it yourself, you need a phillips screwdriver.
although i really dont think the fks adjust a full boot size unless maybe you have them zero'ed out already.
my understanding was it was more or less to fine tune the heal piece to things like boot sole wear.
back the screws all the way out, try your boot in it, if it doesnt fit you need a remount.

what about forward pressure though? isn't that how it's adjusted on the fks?

forward pressure indicators for the fks are notoriously unreliable (they're the white tabs underneath, should match up with the line but more often than not they don't even if it's set correctly
SKI.INGBeen thinking about getting a pair of the new converse. Are they worth it? I have the flattest feet so I couldn't wear the OG's without intense pain.
Yeah dawg, they are super comfy. Footbed is the same tech as in their running shoes so they're good and supportive, top part feels super high quality, and the tounge is attatched by elastic for easy slip on maneuvers.
15k/10k and a slim but still kind of baggy fit which is perfect. Love these pants already, they seem real bomb-proof. Armada pants are dope but the lower priced ones don't have much reinforcement on the bootcuff and tear easily.
