Yeah, like I said. I'm going to eventually get a Touring specific setup. Until then, I'd rather suffer uphill in order to feel confident when skiing down/in bounds. Plus, I wouldn't want to hit a BC booter or mogul field on dynafiddles. There's zero give when it comes to side-releasing on dynafits. You're either in the binding, or you're bucked out. That's the nice thing about the Dynafit Beasts but who the hell wants to pay $1,000 for a binding?

Deff the right call then. Nah a BC booter or mogul field=death. Unless youre Hoji.

Thing is, the Beast still weighs close to what a heavier touring binding weighs anyway (if my memory serves correct). I know BD is making a dynafit/plum-esque binding that has lateral release that should be released this winter. Personally, I would hold off until its taken a year or two of abuse from the masses.

I doubt it'll be going much sideways, since we're basically just driving to the alps in the end of November, and then back to Sweden in April. And to be honest, I don't know which engine is in it, I didn't buy it personally, I just trust our car-guy.

Come on, man. You should know that Vans don't last for anything except walking around. My favorite shoes to ride my bike with are Authentics and they're usually destroyed in a couple weeks. I can't imagine they (or Chukkas) would stand up to any kind of skate abuse. Awesome shoes though.
