Honestly if you know artists or are into art yourself, medium is of great concern. Be it pens, pencils, markers, pastels, paints, brushes, etc. someone who is into their craft will likely be obsessed with what they use to create with.

i have some birks. Wear them for a week straight, they break in and feel so nice and soft on your feet.
