You should be stoked! Honestly SVs are sick but I am not a big fan of all the extra shit like gaiters and skirts and such. If I need pow protection I am using my norrona onezie tho so that's kind of cheating. I like the simplicity of the ARs though, it keeps them a great jacket for everything else and not just skiing pow. Gotta appreciate quality gear though, the Beta has these super bomber sections of 150D stretch around the forearms and shoulders and it fits so damn perfect. Loveitloveitloveit.

$100 for both. So stoked to find a decent condition set in my year/color. No need to repaint them, though the passenger will need a bit of a clean up. Found a sedan bumper for $50 that I'm going to try to pick up...

Then I'll just need some sedan fender liners and some lower control arms and I'll be set! (Possibly some other mechanical modifications to get the track right.

All of this is for a 2004 WRX wagon to sedan front end conversion btw.

the thunderbolt or whatever it's called cable itself is a totally different pinout, and the standard 30pin cable doesn't allow the same power capacity to flow like the thunderbolt one does

They could have made the 4 faster too, but they only came out with a new one to sell mroe chargers.  Not like anybdy cares how fast it charge whilst you sleep anyways.

That means nothing to me really, as I do not use my phone for data transfers other than music updates and backups and such.   

Planned obsolesence = money in the bank. 

Let's be honest, the 5 is not a giant leap forward.  It's the latest must-have and therefore a huge moneymaker for apple.  It's cool and all, it's just not worth the hype or the money IMO.  Making people get another charger (or 3) is one more value added bonus, justified by marginal gains in nonessential areas. 

Apple kills it.  Damn they are good haha

i see where youre coming from, i agree as well, the 5 wasnt a huge leap forward, but i do feel that some of them, while they may be an inconvenience, will be beneficial down the road.

the 30 pin connector is 10 years old, while you may not notice or care for the data transfer speed up, that doesnt necessarily mean that others wont. apple just introduced a 128gb ipad, and this new connector has taken transfers for movies/larger files to take seconds rather than minutes.

there are far more connectors and ports that have been made obsolete over the past few years, remember when samsung, lg, nokia, sony, and every different phonemaker had their own charger/connector ports?

irritating? absolutely. money grab? ehhhh maybe, but if they didnt do it now, then when? this did need to happen, its better sooner than later when everyone is bitching that the current connector was far too slow and people were asking for a new connector.

I dunno, when they come out with something that's an actual step forward and not just a baby shuffle?  I don't see the 5 as anything special at all personally, who bother coming out with a charger that is so different for a phone that really isn't? 

I get it and I'm really not hating as much as it probably seems like I am.  I guess I wasn't really aware of the big demand for a faster cord, I dont use my phone for any of that really.  I was more aware of people who were pissed they had to buy all new chargers for their phone that was pretty much the same damn thing.

I could really do with that faster cord, currently when I'm using my phone even when charging it dies faster than it charges, which is bad news when I want to use it and get to the charger at 1%.

Also I'd kill for that symmetrical cable just so I don't have to figure out which ways which

Damn, I guess I'm really in the minority here haha...  I barely use my phone and the charge lasts for easily a day, two if I'm adamant about shutting down programs after I use them.

Don't get me wrong, it lasts, I play an hour of games a day maybe? watch videos for about 2 hours a night and spend all day surfing the web(by web I mean NS) and I'm on other social networking/skiing sites not to mention t/FB. And it lasts just fine for that, if I'm playing a 3d game I'll sometimes need to charge it, but other than that I'm good.

oh definitely, i wasnt talking about the phone itself as much as the charger. i didnt mean to make it sound like you were hating on it super hard at all, i was just pointing out that the old cable is 10 years old now.

i have a 4s and my little brother has a 5, we went factory default to same content on both phones (movies/apps/movies to capacity) and his finished in almost half the time mine did.

It's not the best at fitting in iphone 4 cases.

But really asides from the longer screen(actually this is a huge plus for me, I watch a LOT of films on my 4s) and the dock connector, and speed, what's the advantages? Legitimate question I didn't really look into it as I had no chance of getting one.
