Thanks. My taste is pretty schizophrenic, honestly, I have 3 completely different wardrobes.
For your own tastes you should look into the last few seasons of Dries van Noten. He is pretty much the master of patterns.
Those brands aren't really about clothes and shoes for themselves though. Like there is nothing interesting about a pair of Nikes no matter what colourway you get them in, it's less of an art form and more of... I dunno, a collection thing? No I am not into any of those brands at all. I can't understand for the life of me why you'd pay that much for a basic T shirt that says "supreme" on it.
They're actually $710 retail, I bought it from the company that makes them, only way to buy it really unless you find one secondhand or something, it's not like they stock them in stores you have to get them made for you. That's actually pretty cheap - if a designer name made the same jacket with the same quality leather and hardware etc it would be over $2000 guaranteed. Both my other leathers cost way more. All Drew does with that company is take classic designs, slim them down so they're modern, use the best materials and workmanship he can find, and then sells the product basically at cost. It's seriously like the On3p of leather jackets.
Anyway I got this today, deadstock I guess since it's new but from the fall 03 collection. Might get another one in black. Pretty limited as to what it can be worn with but I needed a couple more mid layers.
Right, this is where we encounter the 20something in postsecondary who thinks he has reached the pinnacle of wisdom and has nothing more to learn about anything... If the skiing analogy didn't work on you it's pretty much like walking into the moma and going "What the fuck is all this shit? This isn't art. It's just a bunch of nonsense." A lot of people would do that but they're ignorant.
Anyway, wear whatever you want and I will too.
