Big wave surfing wipeouts

so i read an article on rogue waves, and they showed people surfing on some huge ones. I though people must have some nasty wipeouts, and they do. This stuff must be so gnarly, because i've been just messing around in like 12-15 footers, and those get serious pretty quick. anyways i found this on youtube. anyone else got some cool videos or stories?

ya. It doesn't take much to hold you down, and when you get caught off guard, like falling, especially on a big one, i'm shocked that these guys go out there and do this. I guess it must be a natural progression tho

those were brepic(brutal+epic).  I still think surfing is one of the relaxing activities you can do on the open water.

those were some harsh falls. the feeling of that much water crashing down on top of you has got to be brutal.

ok first of all you're full of shit. People don't mess around with 12-15 foot waves. sooo when you learn how to measure waves properly or get off your stomach and ride a surf board and not a bogey board, than tell us the size of the wave. i'm sure you're "12-15" ft wave is probably about 5-6 ft wave
