so a year ago i spend a little over 3k on a fucking macbook pro (I know i made a mistake so just chad bro chill about it). Everything I needed was on the hard drive, i had all my design and website work on there. I mean come on you spend so much on a fucking laptop you think its going to last. One night watching the new east bound and down, which was just crack, the computer just stopped. I turn it off and turn it on and nothing. I took it to the apple store and they tell me that all of the information on the drive was lost and it was just something that happens. So now i fucked over one of my clients and probably wont be doing business with him in the future. I realize i'm ranting but i just am warning all u engahs to never trust apple. Basically, fuck 'em.

good call dude, never ever trust just one hard drive. they die and it just blows.
anything you care about, back it up! and keep it somewhere else. at my job i work with TB after TB of HD video and all of it is backed up, it sucks balls buying backups and taking the time to back it all up but ive seen 2 hard drives die just in the last 2 months. shit sucks!

This is what happens when you buy a Mac. Seriously, shit like this won't and can't happen on a PC. I know you think your cool because you pay double the price for the same hardware just because they're "easier to use". Anyways, still sucks for you regardless of what computer you have. Even worse that it's putting you out of some business.

PCs can't fucking crash you retards. They automatcially back up up their shit dumbasses. It's not fucking hard to back up your files when the computer does it for you. If you have a Mac I feel sorry for you, shit's always going wrong with them. Literally all of my friends with Macs have had some sort of problem or another, and I've never had a problem ever with my PCs in my entire life. Fuck you macfags.

Yeah you can pretty much always recover your data from a PC after a critical crash. Costs like 50 bucks at best buy haha my dad has all the tools to do it to since he taught a course in data encryption or something
Dunno if you can do it or not on a mac...

Ok, its actually like $300 but still doable and better than losing all your work probably.

all PCs have something like a raid system to back up every bit of your hundreds of gigs or TBs of data, automatically, within the same system, for the same price?
PCs have problems all the time, what the hell are you talking about?
i feel sorry for YOU cause youre actually getting heated (and probably have before) about a mac vs pc argument. if you had half a brain and didnt want to seem like such a nerd you'd realize that they both have their pros and cons, and areas where they excel. like i said, id love to see you come to my work and tell me we should be using PCs. that's hilarious

same with macs, usually for a couple hundred bucks you can get it recovered.. correct me if im wrong but i dont think whether its a mac or pc determines if you can pay someone to recover your files from a fucked computer

There are good computers and bad computers, but you should always remember that computers still suck.
Also, how the hell did you get far enough in design to have clients, but not back everything up at least once? C'mon man that's new media 101...
Also, anybody who thinks one platform is objectively superior than the other in every scenario simply doesn't understand computers.

hard drives fail all the time, mac or otherwise... this isnt macs fault, you should know better than to only have one copy of anything. especially something business related.

I doubt it too, although apple does love everything proprietary so I wouldn't be surprised if they use a data structure that isn't released or something. That way dead Macbook = New macbook.

seriously.. and yeah theyre overpriced compared to same level PCs. i just cant imagine getting riled up cause people like macs and feeling the need to hate on it so much.. i guess i dont spend enough time on the internet or something
