I will be moving to BC this coming year, but I have still not decided were. I like skiing pow more than anything else. So anybody who lives in this area leave a comment plz, and no whistler
whitewater or revelstoke. whitewater is located like 15 minutes out of nelson bc. nelson is also one of the coolest towns i have ever been to. the people are so chill and everyone is there for the snow
Like everyone said. Revelstoke will be fun.
Whitewater has a new chair this year to access new terrain
and Kicking Horse has a new bowl open this year.
Red Mountain is only an hours drive south from Nelson. Hit that place up too
ya im 8-9hrs from powking, nelson. 6 1/2hrs from kickinghorse, 7 1/2hrs from revy. i ski kicking horse regularily cause its sick and im pumped for the new bowl
Heres what I think your best bets are for skiing and uni in BC.
UBC- 2hrs from Whistler, 45 mins to Seymour, Grouse and Cyrpess
UBCO- then you have Big white 45mins maybe? and a couple hours to Rev
UNBC- 2.5 hrs from PK
TRU- Maybe 45- an hour to sunpeaks?
Kelowna is a sick place to live for skiing, you have big white which, depending on where in kelowna you live, takes 30-45 mins to get to and sick for park and has some decent bowls, tehn you have silverstar in vernon which have one of the funnest parks i have ever riden in my life, only about 45 mins from kelowna, and tehn as most other people have said on here, Revelstoke is insane, biggest vertical drop of any resort in north america, unlimited potential around the hill and some amazing big mountain lines and amazing snow! you will be a happy skier living out of kelowna for sure!
Im def thinkin nelson, cause thats were im goin to college. theres like revelstoke, whitewater, redmountain all within an hr. but kelowna is def something to think about
