Fake ID's?

Im a college freshmen in Boston and my teammate is a senior and looks like me and he's given me his old fake now that he's 21.
Obviously its not a good idea but I was wondering if anyone has actually gotten in trouble because of it. My friends have gotten denied before but never actually gotten in trouble. Just wanna know thanks.

all i know is that in my state if you are caught with a fake id at all under 21 you get a 1 year license suspension and a 300-500 $ fine...

if they take your id and threaten you then just leave dude. its better to run than to wait around for the cops

totally depends on the cop but just don't be an idiot and they won't ever catch you. don't hand your fake id to a cop if you get busted at a party, don't keep your fake id behind your real id in your wallet so they see your fake id when you pull your real one out to hand to them.

Having an ID like that is way better than an actual fake. No one even looks at pictures anymore they just scan them. If they decide its not you the worst that will happen is they'll take it from you. That could actually be potentially bad for your friend but thats on his dumb ass for not thinking of it.

But realistically nothing will happen.

you gotta be confident with it, that's the main thing.
most bouncers will just take it from you, so will most cops.
oh, and don't carry both your ID's at once. If a cop wanted to they could twist that into identity fraud.

this. i thought this thread was going to be about getting a fact, in which case i was going to tell you to put your same name, hometown, etc on it that way it isnt fraud. my buddy has had all his fakes taken away, just get out of there before it becomes a problem.

You won't have any trouble for buying alcohol at convenience store, trust me, I work there.

At bars/clubs, if the bouncer realizes it's not you, he won't let you enter most of the times. If you're not lucky, he'll take the card from you.

But if a cop catches you at the bar, DON'T SHOW THEM YOUR FAKE ID, cause you'll get in a lot of trouble if they find out.

my friend in NY went to Florida (he's only 17) , cashiers let him buy drinks, but when he tried to get into a club they knew it was fake... all they did was take it and you leave. Just don't put up a fight if they do try and take it.. you shouldn't try and fight with the bouncers and try and get your ID back, it will just lead to more problems. IMO If I were to use my ID at a club and there was a chance on it getting taken away, i would first make sure to stock up on drinks and wraps (that is, if your friends dont wanna buy it for you),,

usually other people buy the booze for us anyways but on tuesdays we have a pub night with like all the athletes in my school and apparently if i show up with all them they dont really check thoroughly.

I was at a bar and i saw this girl who was friends with my older brother whose 22 and she called security on me and they asked for my i.d. and I didn't know anything about the i.d. so they held me until the cops came and i went to jail for the night

Im 17 and live in canada and me and a bunch of friends all use fake ID's, either ones that are other people that look similar to us, or a couple of my friends have legit fake one's with their picture.

I dont know anyone who's got in shit for having them. Me and a couple friends went to some bars a couple weeks ago where he got in a fight, he was considerably drunk and accidently gave the cop his fake ID (  a friend of ours who is a year older)  and the cop either didnt notice or didnt care because when my buddy woke up in the morning he looked at the ticket and found it was all done up in the older guys personal info.

Anytime we've gone to a club or have tried to buy alcohol and got denied they you usually just tell you no, give you back your ID and send you on your way. Unless you get a dick bouncer in which case they might take it then sell it back to you because they know your drunk and will do it. Pretty good scam though.

My friend ended up getting a fake taken from him at a gas station trying to buy beer. He left and thought nohting of it. Two weeks later cops came knocking on his dorm room door and he ended up having to do 60 hours community service (not exactly sure if it was 60 but around that). This was in North Carolina though.

funny story.

one of my friends was wasted in whistler and when the bouncer took his ID he decided that that was not that and took action. He told a cop a bouncer took his ID, the cop went and retrieved it from the bouncer, took one look and confiscated it. and gave him $500 in tickets.

i bought 15 30 racks one time at a gas station, cop that had my license suspended just happened to see me walking out with cases of beer as he was driving by. fucker snuck up on me and that was that. cuffs, sat in a jail cell for two days waiting for bail (they wouldnt let me make a call... strange) my parents had no idea where i was until my buddy went over my house for dinner and told my parents. this was the month before my 21st.

i use my buddies who is 22 and i'm 18...works every time.

we look identical with long hair but i got mine cut short and it still works. i've been questioned once and as long as you act confident they aren't going to say anything...only time it didn't work was when the bartender knew my buddy lol.

Yeah you can use it it will probably work to buy alcohol and sometimes at a bar (depending on the bar).

But for the love of God if you use it to get into a bar, use it, then hide it deep in your wallet. That way if some cop comes up to you and asks for an ID he won't see a fake in your wallet. You can just say someone gave you a wristband or you just walked in.

I'm from CT and had a fake driver's license from Maine with my picture, got arrested and had to do M.A.D.D. classes, community service, write a paper on underage drinking.
