Hundreds of new ski vids due THIS SUMMER

What is with every group of friends out there with a camera and a computer, making their own production company complete with web site, then posting a 'teaser' to there new video - which 'will be availible to buy this summer' - in the short edits of the video section of this web page then leavin tons of credits on how to get ahold of their 'production company' in order to buy their video of mediocure (at best, but there are 1 or 2 exceptions) talents.
so I guess to get convo started what are your opinions of all these teasers and production companies, if you ask me i think any kid thinkin there actually gonna make some money off these things are in for a shock

I don't really like that 'buy it now' either. If it really has something progressive to offer,talent or editing wise,then you should sell it forward. Unless not,just put it up on the Internet for us to see. In the end,it's about what you want to show us,not the money..right?

i think its good alot of kids are getting into it...it breathes new life into skiing, even if some of the videos are mediocre...oh well, i dont think its a bad thing

agread, I own and manage Lightpole Ski Productions, however we aren't that small we have a few really decent riders on our team...But the whole process is fun, except when you don't make any money, and you end up in the red..ha ha

Are video is going to be nice, sick tricks with crapy editing basicly but. Its fun to make and in 5 years will be great to look back at it.

I see what ur sayin but i kinda like watchin all the trailers that are out their its just fun to watch a lil 2 min clip or skiers in other areas especially if they are mediocre...but dont worry next season is goin to be loaded with amazin ski movies that are not mediocre!

nobody who is making a movie is doing it for the money. they are doing it because they love to ski and this is a way to capture and save what they likethe most. no ski movie company makes a lot of money. if you watch the cribs section from any of this years poor boyz movies you'll know that they make just enough to keep living but that when they cant ski anymore in like 10 or 15 years they are gona have to go get another job just to pay their rent.
so dont hate on people out there having fun with their lives
