I open my final cut today to edit a project I have been working on. it doesnt open up my timeline it just gives me a pop up box that sais out of memeory. wtf is this, my computer is bran new, I only have a meere 430 gigs of memory left on it! anyone help?
It probably means the RAM, not the harddrive, so check to make sure the RAM is working properly, or try closing all your other applications and programs running then try again.
it does this to a blank project. its not like its failing on me when rendering or something, it just doesnt open a blank page. I dont think this process requires any ram.
no, and no. my problem is not when its actualy working on something. it just sais its out of memory to open a project or even a blank timeline. I doubt thats a ram problem since theres no processing to be done.
I've had this happen to me a lot; it's a huge pain! It could be a number of things, but it is generally caused by long renders, and the audio/video of the source files don't match up (digital footage isn't perfect).
What I do is render the timeline clip by clip until I find the clip that can't render. Open that source clip in Cinema Tools and conform it to whatever frame rate you're working in (23.98 or 29.97) then reimport, and try again.
it has nothing to do with rendering anything. or any processing or any effort from the program. If he would have read, I said that It tells me this when I try to simply open final cut. not during rendering or playback or anything actualy demanding.
