I was recently watching the H30 trailer and then later saw a risky flip in the video section on here. To me they look very similar. Anyone know if they're in fact the same trick?

i think the risky flip is a double rodeo 720 and the Wilson flip is like underflip to misty...

no they're not, in a risky flip the spin is finished before the second flip, in wilson's little double full a half rotation is done in the first flip and another half in the second flip

wow.....if your talkn about 'the wilson flip' at the east coast open....then your retarded if you think they are the same thing...first off the 'wilson' flip...is a flair to front...which was also called the venus fly trap or something which was done by someone...toben sutherland WAY back in 13....and its on a QP....and if a risky flip is what i think it is...i'm pretty sure its like a d7 to backflip or resembles...a full-lay..ummm so if that IS what a risky flip is then there is your answer......no

okay, so we've clarified what a risky flip is. noteefa described the wilson flip right, but in newschool terms that basically translates out into an underflip 5 (or a rodeo 5) to a misty 5.
Q: How many NS.com members does it take to answer a simple question?
A: 10. One to answer, three to say 'How fucking stupid are you?', three to say 'This has already been asked a thousand times', and three to say 'Who the fuck cares anyway?'

a wilson flip is not done in the pipe u dumb poop. all i know is its basicly a dubble back with a 7 semlessly blended togeather. a risky flip is a back 360 to another backflip(no rotaion in the last flip.

the wilson flip is basically a backflip 180 to frontflip 180, but he throws it a little off axis hence 'underflip to misty 5' and tosses in a nice tweakish grab to give an old aerials trick its newschool appearance

sutherland didnt get enough credit for his venus fly trap. He did those so huge out of the QP and he almost won the USFO one year with it, but Philou beat it with a cork 9

i dl ed a clip from sasfilms of wilson where he aired about 30 feet out of the qp and finished his flair about 25 feet high...then he threw a front flip, and landed on the deck, but im not sure if he was planing on doing the front before he got in the air...who knows not me

my bad i thought he was talkn about wilson's flair to front....ok so at the us open big air he did a flair to front 180....or in aeirals its called half in half out.....the risky flip is a full-tuck.....just in wilsons flip he waits till the 2nd flip to finish the 360 revolution.

ok i dont think this arguement will ever end:
wilson flip: techincally an underflip thrown so hard you go into a a misty 5 ( OR TECHINCALLY a switch misty 5)-off a jump
risky flip: risk wroboski or whatever does it, dspin 720 to backflip-off a jump
venus flytrap: flair to front flip simple as that throw- in 1/4, 1/2 pipe
ok just stop talkin about it now.
