This is fucking terrible. The first 3 movies they came out with were sick. The new ones really weren't that good. Other than getting to see how the plot developed to the later 3 movies they didn't do anything for me.

Taking the whole series and trying to make even more loot by showing them all again 3d? Fucking weak.

I hate how every fucking movie is going 3d now. Yeah I might go watch one of them but I think this is terrible.

Well obviously all of these are going to be terrible and continue the trend of completely trashing the original 3 movies. I ain't even mad though. Once I realized that they replaced Darth Vader's ghost at the end of the last movie with that dude that played Anakin in the new movies, I completely stopped giving a shit. I have the original 3 films on DVD in original format without any remastering or bullshit extra CG and I'll never watch them any other way ever again.

Fuck you, George Lucas. And fuck you new Hollywood 3D trend. Except Jackass 3D that is going to be awesome. But would have been just the same without 3D.

these will suck. they werent shot in 3d. unless you are willing to spend a gazillion dollars like cameron did, your 3d just isnt going to turn out good. so stop trying. avatar was good because the entire movie was based around the 3d concept, and cameron took the time and cash to do it RIGHT. no one else has, or will.

Downloaded and burned, so I guess "on dvd" was a bit misleading. But there was a release a couple years ago of the original trilogy unaltered. I think it even came out in Blueray. Apparently they fucked up the sound though by using the audio from the shitty laserdisc version though.

But yeah unaltered versions are really easy to torrent. And torrents are so high quality these days you can't tell the difference.

Lucas' visions are not artistic and his hard-on for pushing CGI unto us all has destroyed so many happy childhood memories.

3d isnt a trend, its a re-development. It was a trend in the 50's. It died down because the technology made it look like poop. Now we have the proper equipment and it can look amazing. Thats providing its SHOT in 3d. doing something like turning a non 3d movie into 3d is purely for profit. Thats it, nothing else.

I noticed that too. Pissed me off completely.
Episodes 4-6 are the best. Yet people think that they need to make them better, it won't be the same feel when you watch it.

The thing with 3D movies is, everyone is just slapping the 3D part to it because it works in marketing. None of it is good though. 3D is just the latest trend, companies are putting it on body soap and teeth whiteners. It doesn't do anything, but it sells cause it has 3D.

Like stated before, Avatar was made for 3D, the thought was put into it, and it worked obviously.

None of the fucking Star Wars movies are made for 3D. It won't be good at all. Anything redone these days sucks (70's and 80's movies/tv shows). Don't fuck with something thats good.

I'm taking broadcast engineering right now. I'm going to be learning a bit about 3D broadcasting. So far, it's a huge debate. Networks are pushing it like crazy, and the consumers aren't ready. Give it a couple more years for the technology to develop. Then maybe the Broadcast and Film industry will have 3D right.
