can someone explain to me what the difference is between hi8, digital8 and digital ? thanks

hi8 is analog and has about 200-300 lines of resolution, digi8 is digital records on hi8 tapes and gets around 400 lines of resi. and digital gets up to 530 lines and records on digi tapes (mini dv) which are 1/3 of the size of hi8, u can get a cheap digi for around $500-600 U.S. thats ur best bet.
