I tried to searchbar but came up with no results. I was scoping out some of the new dalbello boots and they have a variable flex rate, I can not find an actual flex rating anywhere for the new style, anyone have some insight?

I havent investigated just how it works yet, but in the rampage there is a little plastic peice that snaps into various places in the back of the shell, adjusting the flex somehow. Plan on getting out the Manual sometime soon too figure out exactly how it works out.

This is anything but new. You insert little plastic things into the rear of the cuff, simple as that. I don't use any of them cuz I find them to be stiff as they are.

As others have said, there are two 'shims' that lock into 2 grooves on the spine of the boot. Thus stiffening it up. I think they are a 80 flex outta the box, about 95 with one stiffener in, and 110 with both in.

Flex in the krypton series is dictated by two things the tongue stiffness rated from "A" stiffest to "D" super soft (found in the Il Moro T) and, the item in question, the Flex Control Insert, which affects the amount of forward flex, can be placed in two different positions affecting the amount of forward flex, and the FCI should correspond to the forward lean wedge size that is used.
